The Spring Creek Cottage is a secluded, single-level property (3BR home + 1BR casita) sitting on 8 private acres in Dripping Springs. Swim in the pool overlooking the Hill Country, roast s’mores on the fire pit, or sip your morning coffee on the back porch as you take in the stunning views! When you’re ready to explore, this home is just 20 minutes from popular Texas destinations such as Pedernales Falls or Hamilton Pool.

ENTERING THE PROPERTY: Past the front gate, a winding driveway leads you up to the main home, casita, fire pit, and children’s playscape that sit atop a hill on the 8-acre property. 



THE HOME: The main 3BR home’s open concept living room, kitchen, and dining area invites your guests to gather and enjoy each other’s company. Large windows offer a peak at the back patio, yard, and southern vistas to be enjoyed. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials needed to whip up a memorable meal, including children’s dinnerware. A traditional drip coffee pot is provided along with complimentary coffee. The breakfast table has seating for 3 and the formal dining area has seating for 8. A laundry room is also available for guest use.



BEDROOMS + CASITA: The main home offers three bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a King bed and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. The guest bedroom has a Queen bed and shares the hallway bathroom with Bedroom Three. Bedroom Three has (2) Twin over Twin Bunk Beds. The fourth bedroom is located in the Casita with a Queen bed and shares the casita bathroom with guests using the Twin Day Bed + Twin Trundle in the Casita living room.

    The property is well appointed, but encountering an overwhelming sulfur smell from hot water use was a brutal start to our stay. The smell was so bad that we avoided showering and had interrupted sleep that first night -- a bad experience to overcome for the rest of the weekend. We thought we would have to move to a hotel as we couldn't fathom our celebratory wedding weekend without hot water.If the solution is to run the faucets for 45 minutes before the water is usable, then that should have happened before we arrived. At the very least, there should have been clear guidance at the property on how to remedy the smell and that the water was safe to use. This unfortunate beginning was overcome by the end of the weekend, but a great beginning would have set us up to enjoy from the start!

    After a long drive to get to the property we were so glad to find that the house and casita were exactly as listed. There were even extras that made our stay a really good one. There was a high chair and a little step to help the toddler reach the sink to wash hands. The playground was used every day and was such a great bonus. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

    Probably the best vrbo i’ve rented. Kitchen was stocked amazingly, very clean, amazing view. My only issue regards one of the showers having a draining problem. The next morning my friend was showering in 2-3 inches of yesterday’s water. There was also a sulphur/rotten eggs smell every morning in the detached house.
