In accordance with the Town of Kiawah Island Short Term Rental Ordinance, all guests understand that the approved number of bedrooms is 6, the maximum allowed occupancy is 14, and the maximum allowed number of vehicles is 4.

This beautiful Kiawah vacation rental, located in Vanderhorst Plantation, features six bedrooms, a private pool, and a summer kitchen. The home is a 3-minute walk from the beach.

When you enter the home, to the right is a room offering leather seating, a game table, lots of shelving and TV, a bar equipped with all you'll need for preparing your favorite beverages, bar stools, glass wall and shelves behind the bar, a sink, and an ice maker.

The kitchen is both functional and stylish. It provides seating for six at the table in addition to seating for four on bar stools, as well as a small sitting area. The breakfast area leads to a screened porch and opens out to the deck. A formal dining room is perfect for entertaining a large group with seating for 12 or an intimate dinner for two.

The first-floor primary suite with king-size bed is truly a tranquil retreat. This large open room has a sitting area, lots of windows, and high ceilings. The primary bath with granite counters and gorgeous wood cabinets offers a spa experience with separate spaces for sinks, shower, garden tub, and dressing area.

The upstairs includes a spacious secondary suite with a king-size bed, a private bath with double vanities, a lounge area with two pull-out sofas and two chairs, providing a wonderful sitting area to watch TV, read, or relax. This secondary suite also has a dining table and a kitchenette with small refrigerator, sink, and coffee maker. Additional bedrooms upstairs include two king bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, a bedroom with a twin-over-full bunk bed and pull-out twin trundle, and a bedroom with full bed, twin bed, and pull-out twin trundle. A Jack-and-Jill bathroom connects the bunk bedroom and full/twin bedrooms.

There is a game room with a large sectional sofa, TV, bar area, pool table, and ping pong table.

Large covered porches at the front and side of the home, a summer kitchen with gas grill and sink, and a screened porch all provide expansive outdoor spaces where guests can enjoy wooded views, salt-scented breezes, and a private pool. All teak lounge chairs on the pool deck provide a place to relax and enjoy the sun. By the deck and pool, there is a bathroom with a sink, and on the ground level is a teak shower.

The home is equipped with washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet.

The dimensions of the pool are approximately 11ft x 21ft. The pool has a gas heater, so the pool may be heated in cooler months for an additional fee of $75 per day for the entire stay. It can take 24-48 hours for the pool water to reach the optimal temperature of 85-87 degrees. When the air temperature falls below 55 degrees, typically November-March, pool heaters have difficulty achieving the optimal temperature. In this case, pool heating will not be available. Contact us directly to add pool heating to your reservation.

The garage is available for guest use.

Please note that this property has exterior security cameras that view the home's front and rear entrances. The cameras serve to protect both the property owner and rental guests.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $400. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and more.

During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing on one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. Many families also enjoy the kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park.

Kiawah Island is about 40 minutes from historic Charleston, famous for incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, the South Carolina Aquarium, horse-drawn carriage rides, historic landmarks, and sumptuous dining.

    While this is a very spacious, beautiful house, we were surprised to find both kitchen freezers broken, Main living room tv broken, and unsafe pool deck being noisily repaired for 4 days into our stay. A garage freezer while quite inconvenient, was provided. The Tv was replaced mid week and the last 3 days were what we came for, peaceful and relaxing. This house is showing its age with several things needing attention. Akers Ellis while responsive did not prepare us until arrival regarding the freezer and tv. We were surprised to discover the necessary ongoing construction on the pool deck. I would have considered canceling if I’d known about all of these issues. It was an expensive, not totally relaxing, nor totally peaceful week.

    This property should not tarnish the rental company but unfortunately it does. The upkeep of this home leaves a lot to be desired. Upon arrival, two dead roaches in different areas of home. Pool unuseable due to leaves and unclean. Outside of home is mildue covered and dirty. Interior doors are in need of paint/and or clean. Disgusting rental for the price.

    The property was simply outstanding. A group of us (8) stayed on the island for the week golfing. The house was exactly like the pictures showed, had all for what we needed, loads of space, such a close drive (5 mins) to all the golf courses and also just a 3-4 min walk from the beach. I couldn't recommend the property highly enough

    Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a perfect house and great location for family respite. Enough space to all gather together or relax in peace separately. Literally an ideal spot for everyone. Our goal was to connect after a tough couple of years and this house exceeded our expectations. The worst part of our week was having it end.

    My family had a great time staying at the house. There was plenty of room to spread out and the large kitchen and outdoor dining area were great. An added bonus was the crib in one of the bedrooms for our little one. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was clean when we arrived and spacious enough for three couples plus an older family member. Elevator was a neat surprise as a few in our party needed this! Big kitchen with double dishwashers and refrigerators! We loved the ice machines in the kitchen and bar areas. Short walk 10 minutes to beach and great location on the island for biking and exploring.
