We had an unexpected illness in the family and the host worked with me to facilitate our stay! He was patient kind and understanding of our situation.

We had the best time at Lure of the Lake! There were 6 adults and 4 kids. The bedrooms were spacious and clean along with the bathrooms! The kitchen was completely loaded with cooking supplies and pantry items to help get meals prepared. The downstairs area where the kids played was a huge hit! They loved the movie theater seating and the huge beanbag! The outdoor firepit was well stocked and was used every day. We had deer visit us every day, and even ate out of our hands! It was an amazing long weekend. I would highly recommend this house to anyone staying in the deep creek area! The owner was very friendly and communicated well with any questions we had!

Second time we stayed at this house with friends and their kids. We had such an absolute blast! Everyone loved the firepit, hot tub, pool & movie room, comfy beds, secluded Forrest views from in the house and well stocked kitchen.

House is beautiful, equiped with most needs, clean, and easy to find. We had teens, adults and a younger child. The downstairs was great entertainment, as well as firepit, and nature right out back.

Kitchen us well equipped, beds are comfortable. Great hot tub. Nice game / movie room. The property is beautiful and the nieghborhood is nice.

My family had a wonderful time at Lure of the Lake. There were 7 adults and two children, celebrating two birthdays. There was plenty of room for all of us. The bedrooms were spacious and the entire house was well appointed. When we were actually at the house, which wasn't a lot, we especially liked the theatre room and outside porch to watch the kids in the hot tub as the deer came by in the woods. Although we didn't use them, there was an indoor pool, tennis and pickleball courts approx. 100 yard walk from the home. The location was excellent in a nice quiet neighborhood but within a 20 minute drive to pretty much everything. We walked or road bikes to a community pier, for swimming in the lake. The last time we vacationed in Deep Creek Lake, our children were small and the only activities were horse back riding and archery. This time our grandchildren were on the move every day and would have needed another week of two to do everything there is to do now. Everyone in our group felt comfortable in this home. Lure of the Lake was an excellent choice for our family. We thank Sean and Cindy for entrusting their wonderful home to us.

Family vacation, 6 adults and 4 children( 2-16 yrs old) House was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room and had great spaces. The back covered porch was great, the kids enjoyed watching the deer and hummingbirds. We all enjoyed the theater room. Sean and Cindy were great to work with and have done a wonderful job making their home comfortable, welcoming and beautiful. I would highly recommend this home and look forward to booking with them again.

The house was incredibly comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals. We loved the outdoor covered patio as it was a great place to hang out together every morning. A family of deer, a red-headed woodpecker, and two hummingbirds kept us entertained. We made good use of the downstairs pool table, and tennis and pickleball courts right across the street past an available soccer field. Access to the community boat dock was an easy 5-10 minute walk down the street. The beds were comfortable, and the house had plenty of space for 8 adults. The theater room, which we also used, is part of the basement area downstairs with the pool and foosball tables, but it works well. Sean and Cindy were very responsive and care about their home. We'll definitely consider coming back next year.

We book this house in to host an event with friends of over 20 years. The house accommodated all 11 of us comfortably. We cooked, painted, had movie and game night. My only regret is that we weren’t able to use the hot tub during our stay. Definitely would rent again.

We stayed at Cindy and Sean’s place as a group of 4 couples and 2 babies. There was plenty of space for our group and we felt very comfortable in this home. It’s about a 20-30 min drive to Wisp for skiing and a 10 minute drive to the nearest store / restaurants. Our group enjoyed the sun porch, spacious living room, and home theater experience. Home is clean and up-kept very well. Only thing I would note for prospective renters is that Sean and Cindy care deeply about their home, so there is a lengthier rental agreement and slightly more involved process to finalize the rental than for some VRBO properties.

Our stay was wonderful! The house was as pictured and the owners were very easy to work with. They keep a lovely home. It was very clean and comfortable and the perfect space for us to celebrate our friend!

Spent a week here with 8 adults, a 5 year old, and 2 toddlers. The house was very spacious and well maintained. We took advantage of the close proximity to the pool, soccer field, and basketball and pickleball courts. We had great and easy communication with the homeowner as well. A few highlights that stuck out to our family: - super clean property - great game closet stocked with games for all ages - room darkening shades - owner’s attention to detail (in decor, communication, home maintenance, and home amenities)

Lure of the Lake is an amazing house on a beautiful piece of property nestled in a gorgeous neighborhood. There were 8 of us. 3 couples and 2 kids. Plenty of room for all to spread out and common areas large enough to accommodate everyone for activities like meals, or movies or an impromptu pool tournament. The fire pit and hot tub were great too.

Our entire family loved the house and location. It was the perfect size for our group of nine. The kitchen was a dream and included everything you could possibly need when preparing a meal. Nothing was missing! The layout of the house was perfect with the primary bedroom on the top level with an amazing bathroom, two bedrooms on the main level both with their own bathrooms and two bedrooms in the basement along with a game room with a pool table and movie room. There was also a full bathroom in the basement. At first we were concerned about the noise level which could come from the game room because our 18 month old grandson was scheduled to sleep nearby. However, even with the noise, he never woke up because of the great insulation in the house. Between the game room/movie room, hot tub and fire pit plus fabulous location, who could ask for more. We definitely hope to return in the future.
