5 BR w/ Hot Tub, Game Room, Fire Pit & Heated Pool!

We had rented another place and realized it was just too small. We were able to grab this up and were so excited. The listing showed the heated pool was open year-round, but when we got there, it was closed. Called company and they said it was closed for season. Unfortunately, the highlights showed it was open year-round but the listing details did say it was closed after Labor Day. They were very accommodating and reimbursed us for the fee for having our small dog, which was appreciated! The hot tub was nice and was open.The house was well equipped and spacious. We had plenty of room to spread out when needed. The bedrooms were very nice and beds were comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the enclosed balcony/sunroom and the hot tub. It was also nice having 2 washer/dryer sets. Having a large group, we had to wash towels a few times.I will say, this is an older home. It is modernized, but still has that old home smell and feel. Creaky floors. The staircase that leads to the kitchen from upstairs is dangerous. The steps are very steep and slanted. We told our kids they were not allowed to use it.The home is conveniently located right across from Meijer, close to downtown and the beach. It was great for our group, despite the traffic noise. We were unable to use the firepit due to a swarm of flying ants. They were everywhere. Check-in and check-out was super easy.

Good spot to relax with friends and sit by the fire pit.

A wonderful house for family to gather

Very happy with the inside of house other than the hand rail to upstairs was broken.Otherwise house was clean and in order.But on the outside, the front and back pouch was covered in spiders and spider webs, had not been cleaned, nor was the property sprayed for bugs. Also, swimming pool area was dirty and covered in leaves, pool was half way clean. Jaccuzi was dirty and not clean.

Lots of room for our big group. Lots of bedrooms with different configurations to accommodate several families. The basement with foosball, darts, and ping pong was a nice touch. Also the large dining table was great to seat our large group - not something that is normally found for 8 people

We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday. The weather was chilly, but we did brave the short walk to downtown one day and drove it another when it got colder. We used the hot tub, which was super clean! The house was perfect for our group of 5 adults and 3 children. The rec area in the basement was great area to hang out in. Had a couple of questions upon arrival and responses were received immediately. Can't wait to come back in the summer and would definitely stay at the Blue Door again.

Property was what we were looking for and photos looked great. When we arrived we cleaned for two hours in order to get the home in the state that pictures showed before rest of guests arrived. Alcohol all over ping pong table and ledges around it, dirt on floor, cobwebs, beer caps, grease/fingerprints on mirrors. The 3 trash cans outside were full so we couldn't fit our trash in them.Home needs some TLC, don't take anyone that has problems with stairs because they are sketchy along with railing. We did have a great time while staying and if we hadn't paid thousands of dollars to stay there then I would not have had such high expectations and would not have had any complaints. My sister in law rented a home down the street that was immaculate and spotless for half of the cost, I guess that is also a factor on why I was so let down. I would recommend this property as long as you can get a decent rate on it. As I said, we did have a good time and the pool and hot tub was nice and the house is great for a 10 person group.

Great location close to the beach and groceries, the house was clean. There was plenty of seating. Hot tub was great. It rained most of our visit so we didn’t get to use the pool, but location to beach was 6 min! Great for a large group! Would definitely stay here again.

House was in a great location. Close to everything. The house was large enough to accommodate our large group comfortably.
