5 bedroom oceanfront home in Sea Pines with a pool & unbeatable views!

Our family of grandparents, 3 siblings and 4 grandchildren just left this house and had such a wonderful experience. The house is expansive, plenty of space to relax and the pool area is amazing. Beach front access and so close to all the trails was key. We had a wonderful experience with the house and Hilton head!

Our trip involved 3 generations of families that have been coming here since 1974!! We all knew it would take a very special house, well this house is EPIC!! Collectively, we have stayed everywhere...but this home beats them all!!

The house is beautiful true to the pictures. We loved the unique decor and ocean views from the fabulous porch! The kitchen is not designed as well as it could’ve been. Almost a galley style in a large home, lots of bumping around. One refrigerator and two drawer style ones across the island. One sink in the middle of everything, You can’t open the dishwasher and the refrigerator at the same time. Silverware is minimal, as in 7 forks in the entire home. Good thing we only had 6 people most days. One set of plates so if you serve breakfast and dinner you better run the one and only dishwasher. For a house that claims to sleep 10 shouldn’t there be settings for 10? Some ceramic plates and some old plastic ones not really as nice as the house itself. The outside needed attention, empty bottles along the walk way, gum on the outdoor furniture, nothing big, but during Covid I expected more attention to cleanliness outside. The elevator is non working and the door to the lower level is open and dangerous especially if you have children. We called about it. We were told the property doesn’t advertise a “working” elevator. Either way it shouldn’t be able to be opened to the empty shaft with an elevator over your head! Imagine if our kids were little and played hide and seek in there!!! Except for the layout of the kitchen these issues could easily be resolved. Possibly if there was no Covid restrictions we would have eaten our more often and the kitchen wouldn’t be so crowded. Hoping the owners read this, because we would definitely rent again with some minor cleaning and stocking changes.

We had a very nice week with great weather. Enjoyed the pool and “Dune Deck” as we referred to it. Kitchen well stocked with the exception of only 8 dinner forks and no salad forks. We were constantly washing forks. Upon check in the cleaning service Left a bit to be desired. Garbage cans were not all emptied and there were empty bottles and bags on the porch. The outdoor grill and seating area had not been cleaned. Some broken tables upside down and scattered on deck. The fresh flowers on the dining table and in kitchen was a nice touch. Was a good place not to leave and just stay in with the Coronavirus. Lovely location. Difficult lighting and radio and TV to figure out with no clear instructions. Broom for cleaning pool deck broken and only had pool service 2 days. Broken blind on the front door in master bedroom. The doors to elevator would not close. For what we paid, many of these things should have been fixed. We had problems with the water shutting off but that was taken care of by the agency

What a fantastic house! This is our thirtieth year vacationing on Hilton Head but our first ocean front home rental. Our extended family of six adults and four children five and under could not have been more delighted with this house. Every finish was impeccable. It was by far the best stocked beach rental we've experienced. The house itself was conducive to family time and the expansive back porch, pool and spa could not have been more lovely. We especially enjoyed the porch bed swing and even used the outdoor fireplace on the one cool, rainy night we had. The landscaping is beautiful and the seating on the dunes crossing a fun add. And of course best of all was having the ocean right in your back yard, with gorgeous views from almost every room. We understand the owner has recently passed away, but if the buyer of this exquisite property continues to rent, we'll be back in a heartbeat.

The house is very beautiful but housekeeping is quite lacking. For the price of this house we expected much more. The house was not ready when we arrived. The cleaning crew gave no explanation and was not friendly. From the doorway we could see bags and bags of trash. Evidently the prior guests weren't desirable renters. Bathroom rugs were soiled and disgusting. Shower doors uncleaned. Silverware literally thrown in the drawer. Wine glasses sideways and thrown in serving bowls. Lemons and limes thrown all around the pool, I'm talking dozens. Drink rings and food stains on all the out door tables. There were broken beach chairs and tent thrown on the walkway to the beach that had to be thrown away. The recycle bin was filled with trash when we arrived. After a few days the garbage man told us they wouldn't take it. It had to be moved to the garbage can. My husband got to do that fun job. I cannot believe Island Getaway does not have someone checking up on these properties.
