Secluded but near the city. Good beds. Spacious. Vacasa’s full price up front will bring me back to them vs. Air B&B etc.
The house was very clean, and check in was easy. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch. It was about 15 minutes from Asheville but located in a very private area. Our cars had no trouble getting up the driveway. Communication with the property management company was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. We didn’t do any cooking because this area has too much good food and drink but the kitchen seemed well equipped.
Very nicely designed house. Near to Asheville.
We enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful house with all of the modern conveniences of home. The location was perfect as we were only a few miles from our relatives and had no problems getting together. The weather was great as was the scenic mountain view.
The property was as advertised. The kitchen could benefit from a new stove top as the current one only has two burners. A mention about the ongoing rooster verbalization might be handy although we got used to it! The directions for the TV in the instruction book need to be updated. We were not able to watch any of the New Year’s Eve ballgames and the property manager really didn’t help us solve the issue. The house is very large, clean, and convenient as our daughter lives in the same area. Thank you for your hospitality.
Nicely furnished, clean and comfortable cabin. About 15-20 minutes from downtown Asheville. You need a 4-wheel drive to get up the driveway, but we thought it as a fun part of our mountain adventure. Cabin is private/secluded. There's a rooster next door, but we only heard it when our windows were open in the morning. Internet is slow but good enough for streaming most of the time. Kitchen is well equipped. Overall a nice place to stay.
It was a beautiful house with everything we needed; perfect location!
We met longtime friends for three days of hiking and brewery tastings! Great house to come back to after a long day!!
Beautiful view
We arrived at the house after several attempts up the drive - very unkept driveway. Then could not get the locks to work - took 3 phone calls and finally a call back from the manager to receive a code that worked. We went to the nice porch to relax to find 2 of the chairs broken but it is a nice porch but then Al night several of the neighbors dogs barked forever.
Beautiful home and grounds! Secluded, yet close enough for supplies or shopping! We spent all our time on the screened porch watching the wildlife!! Had a delicious steak dinner off the grill!! What a great girls werkend!!
Great experience with the rental experience from beginning to end.
Rhymer Haven worked out well for our week-long stay in Asheville. The house was exactly as described: up-to-date, very clean, and comfortable for our group of 5. The location was pretty convenient with a grocery store and gas station just a short drive away, and no more than 20 minutes to Downtown Asheville, which we enjoyed a lot. Bed were comfortable, showers were hot, and the kitchen had everything we needed for the meals we cooked at home. If you’re coming from out of state (we visited from Ohio), be prepared for twisty-turny mountain roads to get to the property. It took a few days to get used to, but local drivers seemed considerate! The property also has a steep main driveway, but my minivan handled it fine. Very nice home!
Pros -Clean, modern, well-kept home with nice appliances, tall ceilings, open floor plan, ceiling fans -Great screened in porch where we ate meals and could enjoy forest scenery (with rooster and chicken sounds from neighbors :) -Plenty of towels, soap provided -kids could play in the yard Cons -Poor phone service -Very weak WiFi therefore couldn’t use TV (Netflix, Amazon Prime or YouTube TV) or other devices (battery also low in firestick remote) -Poor water pressure - would take hours to fill master tub (no light above tub either) -Upper floor is humid and warm -Master bedroom pillows too poofy, gave neck/backache -In master bedroom, you can hear everyone above you on upper floor every footstep they take (noisy if trying to sleep) -dead smell (we had to search around and found a dead squirrel in the wood burning stove- why couldn’t Vacasa check for this before people check in? I texted them and they came and disposed of it). -Watch for poison Ivy in yard -Info online and in the binder do not match and/or is outdated: wrong wifi info on Vacasa webpage, wrong TV user info in binder- made it unusable. -Remote area hard to find with steep driveway (especially at night, in the pouring rain, with no power at the house, which is how we arrived to check in). -Overall poor Vacasa communication
Nice view
Nice property. A little remote but doesn’t feel isolated. Clean, and comfortable. Wifi is iffy, if you aren’t looking to unplug. Easy access to Asheville and various attentions.
Rhymer Haven is a great place to stay. The setting is gorgeous and the house has everything you need to enjoy a restful visit. We spent much of our time on the screened-in porch watching nature, playing games and eating.
Tucked away in the woods, this clean and spacious property was the perfect getaway to enjoy Asheville and the mountains!
