Summary:

Our 4 bedroom home on Hope Road is built for the big family trip. Sleeps 14 across 11 beds, with a king primary suite plus a trundle bed, a fully stocked kitchen, smart TV, walk in closet, and a long driveway built for work trucks and trailers as well as family minivans. Indoor fireplace, board games, garden and backyard, and a two car garage. Quiet neighborhood with easy reach of Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Pet friendly with notice. Single level layout for grandparents and toddlers.

The Space:

Our home on Hope Road is the one we recommend when the whole family is coming, the wedding has out of town guests, or the work crew needs to all stay together. Four bedrooms sleep up to 14 guests across 11 beds, which is one of the higher bed counts in our family portfolio and the reason this house books up early for reunions.

The primary suite has a king bed, a private bathroom, a trundle bed for an extra kid or two, and a walk in closet that holds the parents' luggage with room to spare. The other bedrooms are set up with a mix of beds that work for adult siblings, grandparents, and the cousins all under one roof.

The kitchen is fully stocked and made for cooking together. Full size stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster, cookware, baking sheets, dishes and silverware, and wine glasses. The dining table seats your group for breakfast, dinner, or board game night. The cabinets have the basics so day one does not start with a grocery run.

The living room has a smart TV, Wi-Fi, an indoor fireplace for cooler Panhandle nights, and extra pillows and blankets for the movie night that turns into a slumber party. Board games are stocked. The home is suitable for children ages two to twelve and infants under two, and pets are welcome with prior notice.

Outside, you get a garden and backyard, a private entrance, and a two car garage with a very long driveway, which is rare in Amarillo and a real plus for guests bringing work trucks or trailers. A safe is available for valuables. Bed linens, towels, hair dryer, iron, hangers, and the family travel basics are all stocked.

Guest Access:

You have the whole 4 bedroom home, the garage, the yard, and the long driveway. Self check in is from 3pm with a smart lock code sent a couple of days before arrival, and check out is by 11am. The long driveway and garage handle multiple vehicles plus trailers if your group is rolling in with work trucks.

The Neighborhood:

Hope Road sits in a calm Amarillo residential pocket with mature trees and the kind of quiet block that lets even a 14 person group settle in. You are well positioned for the drive south to Palo Duro Canyon State Park, which is the classic family day in this part of Texas, and West Texas A&M in Canyon is close for a campus visit. Highway access is easy for runs across town to downtown Amarillo, Westgate Mall, or the Civic Center for a show. The Big Texan Steak Ranch is a memorable first night dinner, and the Don Harrington Discovery Center and Wonderland Park are good picks for families with kids.

Getting Around:

Amarillo runs on cars and this house is built for it. Two car garage plus a very long driveway that holds work trucks, trailers, or multiple family vehicles, which is hard to find in town. Highway access is easy. Rental cars and rideshare both work from Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport.

Other Things to Note:

This is a non smoking home, no parties, no events. Pets are welcome with prior notice. The home is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a first aid kit, and a safe for valuables. The indoor fireplace is functional for cooler months. The long driveway and garage handle work vehicles.

Interaction with Guests:

We respect your privacy. We are a quick message away through the Airbnb or Vrbo app, or by text if that is easier. During the day we usually respond within the hour. We are happy to share local recommendations for restaurants, kid friendly stops, or the right route south to Palo Duro Canyon State Park.

We stopped over in Amarillo on the way to Estes Park, Co. for youth camp. It was a great stopping place and great to have so much room for our kids.

We needed a place to stay for several of us driving from out of town for my future daughter in law’s bachelorette party. The house was perfect and we had plenty of room and everything we needed for an overnight stay.

The locks were broken off of all the bathroom windows along with multiple screens broken and blinds gone from previous renter. He replaced the blinds after I complained. There were bugs coming in the bathroom window.

Mr and Mrs Mendoza helped me through my 1st ever house rental! They helped me navigate the process and graciously led through uncharted territories. The house was impeccable. Our large family slept comfortably. Mr. and Mrs. Mendoza even offerred to provide anything we might have forgotten. Exceptional home. Exceptional hospitality. Bean family.
