The deck area was wonderful and we used the hot tub and pool every night we were there. The experience we had with American Realty was perfect. Lisa and her staff, Marla and Albert are outstanding! They were all quick to answer any questions either by phone, text and email. Wish we would have stayed an extra week! I would highly recommend this property and please use American Realty!

There was plenty of room for 7 family members, with a large open downstairs living room as well as an additional upstairs living room, cubby area, and separate media room. Upstairs views were amazing and we watched dolphins and sunset from the upstairs balcony. The outside deck was huge, with multiple seating areas and a shaded area outside the master BR.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’ve been staying at beach rentals on Captiva for a very long time, especially on the stretch of beach. I’ve never been to a more beautiful, well though out house — the multiple fridges, easy entertaining layout, comfortable beds and outdoor cooking spaces are unparalleled on the island. My only issues are the lack of shade on the deck (cantilevered umbrellas would help) and our inability to rent again next year — boo! Otherwise, when it’s available I highly recommend White Orchid.

The location is wonderful - near several restaurants and shops. The outdoor area is fantastic and the beach is beautiful with lots of shells for collecting. Unfortunately, the experience with American Realty was a bit disappointing. There were issues with the confirmation/rental contract and they accused us of damaging a paper cover to a coffee table book that none of us handled. They insisted on keeping our entire damage deposit (hundreds of dollars) for this until a replacement item can be found, even though a quick search on amazon reveals the entire book can be replaced for under $70. We've stayed at several Vrbo rental properties and never been accused of damaging anything. I guess it would've been nice to at least have someone ask rather than accuse since I highly doubt the cleaning service has time to inspect every detail of the home after every rental (there are numerous coffee table books in the home in multiple areas on each level and there were guests who left hours before we arrived). I would still recommend the house because of location and condition, but from a service aspect it wasn't the best experience.
