Stayed Jul 27, 2025Dock is good, but we were disappointed that the boat was not available for rent since it was one of the main reasons we selected this property. Bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces were good. Kitchen is VERY small, with hardly any counter space. The refrigerator/freezer needs to be replaced. The cabinets and pantry need to be cleaned out and better organized. The supply of bath towels and beach towels was great.We wouldn’t recommend Captain Ron’s restaurant, but we enjoyed the castle ruins at Haha Tonka State Park.

Stayed Sep 11, 2023The house, dock, & boat were just as described. The house was a bit smaller than the pictures looked but the house well served our group. The house was well stocked as was the dock. We enjoyed the kayaks, lilly pad, floaties & boat! The local host was very responsive & accommodated our needs. I would highly recommend this rental.

Stayed Jun 20, 2023My family had a wonderful time at this house! We rented their boat for a couple days and were so glad we did - it was a lot of fun! We really enjoyed the upper deck. Most of us spent a lot of time out there. The only disappointment was not having a hand rail to the dock and to the basement. I have bad knees so had to have help getting up and down the basement steps and to the dock. A hand rail would have really helped. Otherwise a lot of great memories!!

Stayed May 19, 2023We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this lake front home. This stellar location on Big Island on the Little Niangua arm provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere while still providing easy access to busier parts of the lake. The property is well maintained and supported by the owners and local host. Communication with both was professional, quick and easy. The owners/hosts were wonderful to work with and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable and effortless. We spent hours relaxing on the upper deck overlooking the lake including eating most meals outdoors. Around the island we saw lots of deer, birdlife including bald eagles --and there are 3 birdfeeders just off the deck for perfect bird viewing. We have stayed several places around this area and this gem is our favorite. We'll be back!
