45 Muirfield Lane by Akers Ellis Rentals

The property was as advertised. Great location with everything we needed and very clean. The only issue was with the hot water on the third floor only getting lukewarm. The rest of it was perfect!

The house is open and light filled. The kitchen is well stocked and the double counters works well with a crowd. The screened porch offered views of lagoon and wildlife; the front porch offered entertainment with golfers passing on fairway across the street. Quick access to beach. House had a beach cart and lots of beach toys for young kids. An ice machine is an added bonus.

Everything was easy, from the property selection to check in to check out. The property boasted a 3 minute walk to the beach and completely delivered. The 4-bed, 4-bath accommodations were perfect for us. Great family room/dining room/kitchen space and excellent screened porch with lagoon view. Would definitely come back again!

Perfect spot for a group golf trip

The few days before Christmas were so quiet on the island. We couldn’t have asked for a better time! Each bedroom and adjoining bathroom was amazing! Kitchen appliances, eating area, and the porch were just better than thought! Living room was roomy and comfortable! Dishes and cookware could use some updating. Electrical switches and outlets beyond bizarre. Some we could never figure out how to turn on. Bikes that we rented were adequate, but seats kept moving and lowering while we rode. One bike handle was nearly unusable. One bike lost a pedal during the ride. One bike helmet (probably all) had never been cleaned and had spider webs all over it. But the bike paths on the island are incredible—worth all the hassle!

Our family stayed here during the Marathon weekend. Great property! Great location!

The planning was helped by Akers communications, ready support for getting the right place and making sure all was ready for our arrival. The place is located between a lagoon and the Ocean. We looked a sunrises, walked to the beach to watch in 2 minutes, watched a young college golf tournament out front and a lagoon with fauna in the back. The place was comfortable (two couples) and well equipped. When we needed a bit of hel with a minor plumbing issue, the rental agency responded with support in an hour- all fixed while we were out. The location was very convenient to tennis, golf, beach, restaurants and groceries minus away. Will return - this was our tenth time in Kiawah in 20 years. We'll be back.

The location is a short walk from the beach, and can't be beat. The house is spacious; however it needs some TLC. There were a number of maintenance issues that we had to bring to the attention of the property manager. In addition, the kitchen was not very clean on our arrival. The management company did, however, send someone over to clean it properly, and responded promptly to our other concerns.But we do wonder how often a property manager actually walks through during the summer season to check on things.

The stay at 45 Muirfield may have been our most enjoyable. A lovely home, but primarily we were pleased with the location-a porch on the lagoon teeming with wildlife, a short walk to the beach and a grassy expanse across the street for little boys to throw frisbees/balls.
