415 Semi-Ocean Front Dog-Friendly - Roof-Top Deck!

The property is beautiful in the pictures listed, but there is a big difference in person. There was obvious water damage all over the walls in the house. The musty mildew smell was overwhelming and the floors were filthy when we arrived. After using febreeze and using 2-3 swiffer wet mop cloths per room, the musty smell was tolerable but never fully left.The AC only worked half the time of our week long stay, and the bathroom drains were clogged/one sink stopper was broken. All of the appliances worked well, and the proximity to the beach was nice. Staff was fairly helpful. They got a maintenence person out pretty quickly to fix the clogged sinks and broken washing machine.Overall, our family will not stay at this property again. The pictures listed do not show the reality of the property.

Cleanliness not the greatest. Remote to beach and store which was great. Property managers responded in a timely manner and polite. Place could use some TLC. Overall it was okay. Enjoyed the stay.

Location was excellent, right on the beach. Top and back deck areas are very nice to hang out during cooler nights. Did have to vacuum upon arrival as there was still sand on the ground, a long with dog/ children toys left under the couch. It is pretty difficult to get onto the beach, though, because you have to go up a pretty steep sand dunes (although the neighbors let us use their deck which made it easier)

Family get together. We had some family drama, family cheer, all was good. Reconnected with family. A joyful event. ☺️♥️☮️🌺

Our family enjoyed or short late season stay here so much that we booked it for a full normal summer week. It has plenty of room for a large family and even though it’s not directly on the beach it’s as close as you can get otherwise. No need to even cross a street. Just open back door and you’re 10 feet from sand. Cove Reality was easy to work with for some last minute changes. Recommended for a family of about 8!

Property location was great! We spent the entire first day cleaning the house, it was nasty. I don’t think this place has been cleaned for the entire year! Honestly my family and I should get the housekeepers/cleaning fee returned due to the state of the house! The beds had sand all over them, hair in all the showers, dust covering most surfaces, floors had visible crumbs and such all over. It was awful!

Septic tank put in the house behind us while we were there. Porta potty was my bedroom view. Hair that was not mine on the rug in bathroom. Drain on back shower loose. Dirty stained foam cushions in the gathering room, where can we use there? Weeds and stainless screws in the walkway. Email attitude from Realtor. House itself was great. Makes me doubt “ covid ready” I’m vaxxed, have a house in Manteo, my son lives here and the vibe locally about the realtor is poor.

House was as listed. Beach access is a no go if you have any hip, leg, or mobility issues. The house could use a deep clean. The outside lights never worked. I did call twice.

There are many wonderful things about this property. We loved the location, the different areas for us and our kids, and the old fashioned charm of this place. I think for the money we were thankful to give up a few things to be so close to the beach. Many fun memories!

We had a wonderful time at Breakway. The cottage is bigger than it looks and close to beach, but parking is not great. I would definitely recommend staying here. Cove Realty is a very good and friendly company to deal with also.
