The house needs a good cleaning. We had hair in the upstairs shower when we arrived. Spider webs in the bedroom at the top of the stairs. You couldn't use the fan in the first bedroom at the top of the stair's b/c of the amount of dirt on the fan blades. The whole house had a musty smell.

Would not recommend bedrooms only big enough for beds no closet space. None of the TV's worked. Stairs were small steep and dangerous. Would rate this place 3 out of 10 at best.

The location of the property is the best part. It’s close to everything in town and you can honestly walk to the shops from the house if you wanted. It’s very close to the Watkins Glen National Park which was a perk! The neighborhood was quiet as well. The house itself is big and the two living areas would be super nice for a larger group staying there. The house overall my family and I felt wasn’t as nice as advertised. The house smelled like fresh paint, there was a lot of wear and tear to the home which isn’t a huge deal but the house pictures made it look otherwise. The house was also very cold when we arrived and had to turn the heat up high to get warmed up. They have small heaters for different rooms which was convenient and we used those to keep our rooms warm at night. There is also no curtains on the downstairs windows or doors which made you feel kind of exposed, especially at night. I feel having some type of drapery up would also help keep the house warmer for the colder months. The TV’s in a couple of the bedrooms would not work either. The cable boxes were out of date and the house had the new ones still in the package, however were never replaced and set up. Although the house served its purpose for a few nights, I don’t feel like the condition of it reflects the cost to stay there. With some “updating” and love, the price to stay would be worth it.

The house was perfect for us. We were attending a family reunion and wanted a place to stay with our immediate family. The house was perfect, many bedrooms and 2 kitchens! You can walk to everything. Would definitley stay again when in town.

This listing is exactly as described and the property manager was extremely responsive and communicative for anything we needed! It was just us and our 3 month old son and it was nice to have the multiple bedrooms to spread out with our stuff and all the baby stuff. Great location too, we walked to the little town strip every night for dinner.

We had a great quiet stay (lucked out with the weather...70's in late October). We were able to walk to Watkins Glen State Park and the restaurants/bars/breweries in downtown Watkins Glen. And under 30 minute drives to Ithaca and Corning. The house does have a funny layout as some access is though another bedroom (but we knew this from the listing when we booked). We only had four people so we had plenty of sleeping space. Cleanliness was great. We didn't need the cooling of the window A/C in each bedroom but it was nice to turn them on (fan only) to create some white noise while sleeping.
