4 Bedroom/4 Bathroom Oceanfront Home in Palmetto Dunes with Lots of Character

We love Hilton Head, and the location of this house was good. Overall the house was nice. The concerns we reported were that (1) it was indicated there was a hot tub, and there was not; and (2) the refrigerator door's shelves were missing which impacted our ability to stock the refrigerator. There also seemed to be a lack of necessities in the kitchen - not a lot of silverware, utensils such as wine opener, etc. The light switches didn't seem to operate anything, and many bulbs were burned out. Some were changed after we arrived but not all. Plus the house listed a wet bar, and then we finally found it - in the master bedroom, which wasn't very useful. The house smelled very musty. On the plus side, the pool was great!

View & location are amazing - truly the best location we’ve had in Palmetto Dunes but the house needs updating. Kitchen is lacking in the basics you would expect to find in a vacation rental; dishwasher needs to be replaced, hot water was never hot. The cleanliness wasn’t up to par - particularly during Covid-19. Low water pressure all around, toilets took forever to flush & backed up constantly. Master bath steam shower drainage was poor & there was hair plugging it up on our arrival. Washing machine needs to be replaced or repaired. The television blocking one of the sliding doors in the living room is less than ideal, the furniture is more dated than most high-end rentals. Linens were sparse & need to be updated. Wifi is awful. Property manager was responsive when faulty smoke detectors brought the fire department out. Location & view amazing but it was clear that this is a rental & not a home the owners spend much time in which we’ve found makes all the difference in private rentals.

Our stay at 11 High Rigger was exceptional. The home was fabulous, the location was the best it could be, and the close proximity to excellent restaurants couldn't have been better. hope to be back soon! Marie Ferguson

Hospitality staff were great keeping us up to date on the oncoming hurricane Florence. So easy checking in using their app. The house is right on the beach. Large enough to accommodate eight adults comfortably. We were able to take advantage of the tennis courts there in Palmetto Dunes. The pool area gets lots of sunshine so it was used a lot by this group. Loved our stay.

We had a wonderful time. There were 8 ladies who’ve been friends since high school celebrating our 60th birthdays. It was so nice to have our own pool and easy access to the ocean. Can’t wait to return one day Nonie Lyons

Thanks for a great stay. Just to mention a minor maintenance issue at 11 High Rigger. The draperies in two of the bedrooms are broken and do not close completely. All in all this is a wonderful house and a great vacation.
