Nice quiet location. The house was very clean but did show some signs of wear and tear from being a rental (cracked floor tiles, worn out pans, etc.) but nothing that couldn’t overlooked. Bayside views were nice and backyard access was really convenient. Private beach access was a bit of a walk but an easy drive (make sure you fill out the permit found on the fridge). I would stay here again for sure!

Upon arriving on the island the home was super easy to find, noticed that the home was lacking on cleanliness. We spent the first evening cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping which should have been taken care of prior to our arrival. The views were gorgeous, wasn't very crowded this time of year. The rental company was very easy to deal with, had to call regarding wifi password. Nice spacious home but definitely needs some TLC, I know it's listed for sale but with renters continuing to book, and for the price, you expect a little better condition.

The view was fabulous. The neighborhood was quiet. Everyone left after Labor Day so we had the beach pretty much to ourselves. I would suggest that curtains are put up in the windows facing the street because the blinds were too short to cover the full window and this was for the bedroom and bathroom. Will definitely visit thislocation again.

This house was amazing for our first Vrbo trip with kids and pets. The little beach out back on the bay was pretty nice. But having a short drive to plenty of other beaches was perfect it a cute little island with plenty of shopping and food choices to choose from! It was a relaxing get away.

This was a really nice house and the view! Sitting on the back deck watching the happenings on the bay. So peaceful. Then out the front door and across the streets, the Gulf was right there. Thanks for helping make our stay so nice.

What an amazing stay. Dauphin island isn’t a heavy tourist location. There isn’t 50 souvenirs shops. It is a place to relax, a place that you can enjoy slowing down. We found something to do every day. Going to the aquarium on a rainy day or going to Mobile a short drive to tour the USS Alabama. But what was the most fun was hanging out with Joey and Liz with Slaty Dog rental and jet skiing with dolphins and sting rays. The cottage was a little dated but perfect for what we needed.

Property as described. We wanted a quiet winter week by the water. It is exactly what we got. Quick tip, the spray hose is by the front door. Primarily use that door to keep sand out.

The house was great....at a great price. It's right on the bay, in the back. And the Gulf (within walking distance) in the front. The rental management company ( Dauphin Island Beach Rentals) was amazing.

Below average at best…. Booked this house on short notice for the family for a week in July ‘24. Property is VERY dated and for sale which may explain why the owners haven’t updated/renovated this property. Location is good with easy bay and beach access. But, definitely needs a deep cleaning inside , new bedding/beds, and a complete cleaning below the house (no concrete pad, cigarette butts everywhere, pieces of glass). I’d definitely pass on this one unless it’s one of your only options on the island.

We especially like this house because it has a bayside beach area which is an advantage if you happen to come on a week when the Gulf side is inundated with seaweed. The first time we stayed there was problems with deck lighting and plumbing (I repaired the plumbing myself at that time) The lighting we were told had been given a work order for repair, but we never saw anyone. This is the second time we stayed and there was a new refrigerator (an improvement), less kitchen utensils, our shell in table was gone :{ , and the light problem was still present years later :{. We requested help, got notice that a work order had been turned in, same result, saw no one, no repair accomplished. Mosquitos were awful compared to our first time which was on April 1st week that year, this year we were there in Mid May, weather much better, it was a very cold, windy, rainy week when we were there the first time. Pillow cases or pillows actually smelled like an armpit and house is for sale at this time. (it was a newly aquired property the 1st time we stayed here) . With all that negativity, we would still recommend this house, it is very nice, maybe bring your own pillows and a good camp light to light the deck enough to see if you want to use the new grill they had available. We have stayed in Fort Morgan area and Dauphin Island many years and still think this is one of the better locations. One more comment, there is only one street in/out and it floods, pray for no rain. (Corvette owner)
