Stayed Dec 22, 2025No handicap toilet in either bath. Need warning tape in master bedroom, on the floor; there is an unexpected BIG step down to get to the outside door. Baseboards are filthy. The couch is old & you can see the oil from people sitting on it, there wasn't ever ONE (1) extra sheet for us to put on the couch, same with the chair & ottoman, I had to use 2 of the towels to sit in that chair. The antique chair is understandably dirty & old. Dining room chairs are antique but need seat cushions re-done, ones that are there your legs hit the wooden part when you sit down & very uncomfortable. The plastic on top of antique dining table is moist under it & ruining the table top. The housekeeper missed spring house cleaning, when I dropped something behind the bed & then 2 days later behind the dresser OH MY WORD, maybe she missed the last 2 spring house cleaning. Frying pans were missing teflon, health issues. Mat inside tub was a clear one (AT ONE TIME) old & almost brown. I have a pictures & video if it would help.

Stayed Jul 28, 2025We have never been to Memphis and had no idea where to stay. Turns out that this area was PERFECT! The Cooper Young neighborhood is lovely and close to everything. More importantly, this house was wonderful and we felt very safe. We are a family of 4, with two sons in their 20s. The space was so comfortable and clean. Rooms are spacious. The driveway is big enough for two cars. And while there are no photos of the backyard, there is one and would be lovely in cooler temps. 5 min walk to restaurants in Cooper Young and 15 min drive to downtown. If you are the fence about where to stay, don’t be. This place is great.

Stayed Jun 12, 2025Our stay was a graduation trip for my daughter and her friend, both 18. Really, the trip was all about Elvis, but everything was so close to our neighbor. We went to Beale St., The Pyramid (Bass Pro Shop) and ate at the Wahiburgers restaurant. We went to Sun Studios, Graceland, and even took a road trip to Tupelo Mississippi to see Elvis's birthplace. Everything was so close to where we were staying. The Dynamite Cooper Young house was perfect for us. The 2 teenagers got the master and then my friend and I each had our own bedrooms. It was clean and everything you needed was there. The host was exceptional, she responded quickly to any email I sent her and very friendly. Also, the neighborhood was good and quite. I would recommend this rental to anyone who travels to Memphis.

Stayed Jan 30, 2025Communication before check-in was great. Check-in was super easy. Directions given were spot on. House was perfect for 4 adults. Plenty of room for cooking and playing games. We did have to buy pots to cook in as there was not a lot of options in the kitchen. Neighborhood is located with easy access to most places we wanted to go. Use caution going to closest grocery and Dollar General stores, especially after dark. Cooper-Young Neighborhood was a cute neighborhood a few blocks away with some great restaurants. Immediate neighborhood was a large mix of updated, well kept houses and run down ones. Heat was hard to regulate, especially in the bedrooms at night. Lots of neat accents and charm in the house though. Beds were comfy. Bring your extension cords, as outlets are at a premium. All in all we really enjoyed our stay. We will probably stay here again when we are back in Memphis.

Stayed Jan 9, 2025This property was everything advertised and then some. Great kitchen to prepare meals, nice sized living room along with 3 bedrooms! This place was within minutes of Beale St, Sun Studios and many BBQ locations. Did not have a bad meal while here. Shout out to Kimble for accommodating me arriving a day early due to inclement weather coming in.I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Nov 24, 2024Our kids invited us to spend time with them at Thanksgiving. Since we live across the state and my dad was coming with us, we located this lovely Craftsman home that was near the University of Memphis and our oldest. Our hosts kept the process simple and we were delighted with our stay. We even got to have the kids to supper a couple of times.

Stayed Oct 6, 2024The house has a lot of charm though it needs to be spruced up. The home had a musty odor that did not go away with air fresheners nor ceiling fans and a/c. It was tidy however needs a thorough cleaning i.e. hallway and bathroom vents coated with dust. The door knob of one bedroom was not fixed as noted by prior renter. We did not cook other than a light meal for breakfast. Neither the backyard or BBQ grill was used. Note to owner: The 2 step downs - one in the kitchen and the other in the back bedroom should be made more visible to renters to avoid potential liability issues. Kindly note for anyone who is a light sleeper there are neighborhood dogs who are barkers and cargo trains which run through. Memphis attractions did not disappoint us at all. In addition to Graceland, we highly recommend the National Civil Rights Museum, and National Ornamental Metal Museum. Other highlights include Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Elmwood Cemetery, Blues Hall of Fame, Mud Island River Park, Bass Pro Shop at the Pyramid, Sun Studio, and Dixon Gallery & Gardens. Our visit would not have been complete without listening to music in both downtown and Cooper Young areas. We ate at restaurants that served dry and wet BBQ but one of our favorite meals was at Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken in downtown. By far the best fried chicken we have ever eaten. Other restaurants we recommend include Beauty Shop, Soul Fish Cafe, Stickem, Public Bistro, and Huey's Midtown.

Stayed Sep 18, 2024We loved our trip to Memphis. I knew nothing about the city or where to stay. I happened upon this house and couldn't be happier that I did. It is so full of character and charm. It has everything you need and more. It is super clean and so well stocked. The ease of check in was appreciated after a long travel day. The location is perfect. A close drive to everything you want to see in Memphis, but the neighborhood it's in is amazing! A short walk from great bars and restaurants. It was nice to come back to the house after a day of sight seeing, sit on the porch or back yard and relax. Do not hesitate to stay here if you visit the wonderful city of Memphis. We will surely be back!
