Stayed Jul 5, 2025A lovely well presented house in a quiet location. Lots of space and well equipped for our needs. It was an easy stroll down to the bars and restaurants in the port and a good base for exploring the area.

Stayed Jul 20, 2024Lovely property - the photos don’t do it justice. One double bedroom downstairs. Two doubles and a twin upstairs. One toilet downstairs. One upstairs. One shower up and down also. Very well appointed kitchen. Nicely decorated and clean. Garden was also great - table under a gazebo was helpful as we were able to eat out even when it was raining! Great communication from the owner. Our kids enjoyed searching for the ‘pet’ tortoise in the garden each day. A chest of beach toys and games was also helpful. Lovely location. Short walk into Cancale and short drive to multiple nice beaches. Would (and already have) recommend it!

Stayed Jul 28, 2018Excellent, peaceful location and only 5 minutes walk down to seafront with numerous restaurants and bars. Modern house, comfortable with all amenities, and a good base for exploring. Excellent, inexpensive bus service to St Malo, better than driving. Helpful and friendly owners.

Stayed Sep 2, 2017Not using GPS ( it has led me to wrong places in France),I used Via Michelin which suggested a back way in. I could not find it and had to ring the owners. It would not be hard to find with better directions,it is not fsr off main road into Cancale. The house was more modern and a better layout than I expected and was exteremely well equipped. The only things it lacked were a corkscrew (in France!) and a can-opener. It was not a typical fisherman's house;in fact the area was quite up-market. Instructions for all appliances were there (not always the case)so we had no problems in using the available facilities. Two sets of keys were provided (again not always the case),ample parking space was available,so no problems if party wanted to split and go their own way. Unusually for France there was not a Boulangerie in walking distance, nearest about a mile. Only one big supermarket in Cancale (super-U) but it was OK. Local restaurants on Seafront plentiful and excellent value 9especially if you like oysters and mussels as I do. I would go again

Stayed Aug 20, 2016We spent 14 days in Cancale in this lovely big house. The landlord and landlady are very kind and helpful. Gave us some good information about Cancale and surroundings. A marvellous house in a nice town. The house was situated in a quiet area close to he harbour. The house was well equipped, and there was a nice little garden and terrace, where we had our dinner. We sure would like to come back.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We (familiy of four) had a wonderful 2 weeks in this house, I can completely recommend it. The owners are very nice and welcoming. The house can accomodate eight (if you know each other :-)), and for the four of us it was nicely spacious. Everything you need is there, we went to a restaurant only twice and mainly for the flair. The relevant distances (bakery, super market, beach) could easily done with bike, but we did everything with the car. Except Cancale itself, that's easier on foot. Next time in Bretagne we're going back here.
