We enjoyed our stay at Duckers! The hot tub was fabulous after a day of hiking - it was clean and hot and well maintained. The place was comfortable and clean. The property has many stairs to find your way up to the house, but they need some TLC because they are borderline dangerous in spots with rotted wood. Recommendations I’d make: some extra blankets and some new and better pillows for the beds. It’s the first VRBO where there was no coffee (ok, enough for one cup on day one and one coffee filter, to be exact) and no soap (although shampoo and conditioner were there). If you come with a family, there are just things you come to expect, like cards and games and stuff and we don’t normally bring those things along. You need to bring them here as what is available is for toddlers (Paw Patrol, not for kids beyond that age and before college). Small things like that that aren’t a problem, but worth knowing in advance to prepare.

Property was awesome and perfect for anyone bringing a pet. It's an easy drive to downtown, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet!

The house was exactly what we needed to feel at home in the mountains away from bustle, but still a close drive to all of the natural spaces we wanted to visit. The vibe of this place is awesome! We sat in the hot tub every night after long hikes and some mornings too. We loved the uniqueness of the home- from the rocks, structural features, playhouse, and incredibly joy-inducing mural in the kids’ room. This place felt like home right away & we would love to stay again the next time we’re in the area. Thank you so much for offering this just-right space! We wouldn’t change a thing!

Wonderful place. It was very clean and spacious. And the slides and playground were fantastic. Kids really enjoyed them.

Nice quiet location.

Beautiful cabin get away with a beautiful mountain view. If you want some nice peaceful days up in the mountains and still want to be close enough to hit downtown Asheville or Black Mountain rather quickly this is a great spot. House has everything you need. Fenced in back yard, hot tub, great spot for kids to play and unwind. Playground was an huge hit! Awesome Asheville getaway on Duckers Mountain. We actually booked as a 3 night stay and loved the house so much we booked two more nights if that goes to show how great of a find this is. Hosts were great! There is a little trail that should be opening back up soon also.

We had an amazing stay! The views, hot tub, space, beds, decks, and fenced in yard were perfect for us!

This is my second time staying at this property. It’s cozy and comfortable. Plenty of room and space for families and dogs. Great location near downtown Asheville, in a peaceful setting with beautiful sunrise views.

This was such a cozy mountain oasis that had everything we needed during our stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and Mountain views. We really appreciated how kid friendly this home was with the baby gate, stroller, toys, fenced in back yard, and outlet covers. We will definitely be back when returning to Asheville! Only things negative we would have to say is that the keys to the home were very hard to get in and out of the door and would suggest getting new locks and that some of the pots and pans be replaced due to scratches/peeling of teflon. Otherwise, everything was great!

Everything was good. We are older couple with back problems and the stairs were hard for us. But fine for others younger. The fenced yard was not adequate for my dog to be let of leash to run about. Hot tub was wonderful. I brought items i did not need as they provided everything. Just needed a bar of soap but you would want your own anyway. Very clean just needs a dusting of fans and furniture.

Close enough to town and anything you’d need but also feel like you’re in the county. Comfortable beds and places to lounge. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

This place was perfect.. we got to see a momma bear and her babies.. it was an amazing experience.. the owner was prompt on getting back to us when we had questions loved our stay

Had a great time and would return. Simple accommodations but well appointed. Hikes accessible from the house. Hot tub was great.

Great property, beautiful location.

Exactly as advertised, clean and quiet. Driveway is a little tricky but we had no major issues. We saw lots of wildlife while sitting on the decks outside.

This house was perfect for our vacation to Asheville. Out in the beautiful nature but only minutes from downtown. Would love to stay here again!

Overall the house was nice, and the property was in a great quiet location. My daughter did find a pillow on her bed, and the kitchen pans were dirty and had to be washed before use. We enjoyed seeing the bears and the dear on property. The hot tub was also amazing. We had a good time on our little vacation.

The accommodations were excellent. It is only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville. We saw Black Bears in the distance. We had everything we needed there. My son did say the downstairs bathroom had a sulfur smell.

Very cozy and clean! Fantastic location, gas station only five minutes away you can be to Walmart in 10. I would suggest if you’re in the area to go to Catawba Falls! We really enjoyed the beds and the hot tub! Thanks guys!

Very nice house to stay in at a great location. Great hiking in all directions. Tucked away in the hills but close enough to the city.

We wanted a DO NOTHING break from our daily work. This cabin have us exactly what we wanted. Toys, movies and books to keep the kid busy and relaxing couch and recliner to let us relax. The hot tub was nice and hot.

Stayed for a little over a week and everything was great. Zero complaints.

It was quiet. Close to everything. The house was great. Very comfortable.

A bit dated, but overall a good house. It served our purposes well(hurricane relief). Great communication from the host. It smelled like an old house that is my only complaint.

Mr Clark was extremely fast communicating back with me even during one of the worst possible times this area has seen. I didn’t get to stay unfortunately only due to the hurricane that swept the roads away. I plan on scheduling another time to stay here solely based on how great the host were during that time and leading up to it. The cabin itself had everything we wanted and needed for a great vacation.

This property allowed us to enjoy a mountain retreat while giving easy access to all the Asheville activities. Quick access to the mountain to sea trail and Blue Ridge Parkway provided plenty of hiking opportunities. The house was accurately described and the hot tub is a nice bonus. Please pay attention to the owners notes about bears and trash. We were lucky enough to see 4 bears at the property. Very cute, but be aware. We would definitely book this rental again.

My young adult niece commented on the homey feeling as we walked in the door! Loved the Dr Seuss room and the bear watching.

Truly enjoyed our stay at Duckers View. First, the hosts have done a fantastic job describing the house and property. There were no surprises. Second, the hosts are very responsive to messages. They also share their mobile numbers should an emergency arise. We found the house clean and comfortable. We had at least two meals a day in the house and found the kitchen with sufficient items (plates, glasses, mugs) for a family of four. We ran the dishwasher about once a day. The location is fabulous. Just down the mountain is an Ingles to grab your supplies and gas up the vehicles. The house key has an Ingles rewards card on it. Easy commute to get around the town and sits literally right beside the parkway. Great morning view from the kitchen window. Our pup really enjoyed the fenced in yard and the house was the perfect size for our family. We hope to stay here again! p.s. Do follow the instructions with regard to bears and using the bear box. We saw on average one bear per day during our visit, but only one right near the property.
