Very clean. Peaceful wooded area but still close to restaurants and Bar Harbor. Beds were comfortable and almost instant hot water, with great pressure, is a plus after a cold hike. Found a picturesque photo spot just minutes away on Hwy 3 and the Bar Harbor Narrows, with brilliant fall colors. Had an enjoyable stay.
Great location. Beautiful home with lots of windows to look out on the flowers and falling leaves. Lovely yard. Convenient layout with two large bedrooms and full bath upstairs, master bedroom and full bath downstairs. Well-stocked kitchen for cooking the freshest seafood ever from Parson's seafood market.
The house was clean, spacious, in a beautifully quiet location while also being in a great location for activities in Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Host was helpful and non intrusive. Had an awesome vacation.
This is s traditional small New England cottage in a great location close to Bar Harbor. The cottage is in a private, wooded subdivision close to Hadley Point beach. You're within a few miles of the Hulls Cove entrance to Acadia NP and less than a mile from 2 excellent lobster shacks. It's an easy downhill drive to a small beach at Hadley Point where there's s great view across Frenchman's Bay. You can kayak or swim from there. It was hot and humid during our stay so we didn't use the new outdoor fire pit but it would be inviting during cooler weather. All in all, a comfortable base for visiting Bar Harbor and the rest of Mt. Desert Island.
This house was perfect for 5 adults! We loved the peaceful setting and the great location to Acadia! We were able to get in and out of Acadia and Bar Harbor with little congestion! The fireworks at Bar Harbor on the 4th were amazing! And we celebrated an engagement while we were here! Everything was perfect!! Thank you!!
Everything was perfect, only the house smell of mold, We had to call malcom a couple of times but he took care of the things we needed very quickly.
My husband and I just stayed here with our pup and it was wonderful! Malcolm was a great host and very easy to communicate with. He checked in with us to make sure everything was ok. The house is adorable, very clean and we had plenty of space. The yard was perfect for our pup and us to relax in. We felt very much at home. We grilled dinner and used the fire pit after hitting the trails a couple of the nights when it wasn’t too windy. There are so many wonderful places within minutes that offer fresh local fare. You can also buy the best fresh local mussels and clams and cook them up yourself. The location is the best of both worlds, you are close to Acadia and down town bar harbor- but you also have peace and quiet in this lovely neighborhood that is surrounded by beautiful pine trees. Hadley point is within walking distant (or a short drive if you prefer) and has incredible sunsets. This is an absolute gem of a place and we really enjoyed our time there. We can’t wait to visit again!
Just 10 minutes from Bar Harbor. Very quite, private setting in the woods. Had everything we needed. Malcom was very helpful. Beds are comfortable. We’ll worth the price.
This house was in the perfect location for our trip to Maine. Communication with the owner was excellent, I always got very prompt responses to my questions, which was greatly appreciated. The house was in a very quiet setting, which was also appreciated. Thanks again!
Spacious 3 BR home secluded in the woods near Hadley Point in northern Mount Dessert Island. Convenient to all the attractions of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Loved making evening fires and relaxing around the fire pit after a day of hiking, biking, or kayaking.
Comfortable and quiet home that welcomed us after a day of adventure.
Property was very well maintained and it had everything that we needed
The house was in a wonderful woods setting with everything needed to enjoy acadia. The host provided helpful information for the area.
Everything was wonderful. We will definitely stay here again if we come back. Loved the area and the home!
Really enjoyed our stay. The home was as described and Malcolm was very helpful making sure we had a great experience. Located centrally to Bar Harbor and Acadia NP. We ventured to the Quiet side Southwest Harbor, Trenton and Schoondic Peninsula. Enjoyed fresh lobster rolls @Trenton bridge Lobsters and @ Stewmans on the Waterfront. Ebikes were a Blast and Thank you Malcolm for recommending Al's shop, Bar Harbor Bike Shop on Cottage St. They were great to work with. Riley suggested around the Mt route and it fit our schedule perfectly. The home had everything we needed. WIfi worked most of the time. Kitchen fully equipped. Grilled steaks and Salmon for Father's Day and it went smoothly..minus the rain. Beds were comfy and we slept well after a long day of activities. Great to come back at the end of the day to relax and play a few games and enjoy our cocktails. Was planning on using that awesome new firepit, but with some rainy nights, and lack of time, we never got the chance. What a beautiful area. Glad we made it home for a week and would love to return.
