In the 10 years we’ve been traveling to Oak Island, this was by far our favorite house. So clean, well stocked, cozy, and what a perfect kitchen! Beds were incredibly comfortable. Window coverings a huge plus for a good night sleep. Loved the spacious fenced-in backyard and the sunny front porch. Steps to the beach. Gail is so gracious and such a wonderful host.

The house was clean with a well stocked kitchen. We loved the fenced back yard. Very short walk to beach and the neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful.

This house had everything we needed. Large fenced yard, kitchen fully equipped and appliances/ac worked great! Short walk to the beach. Owner was very accommodating. This is our new go-to place!

This property was perfect for our family vacation. Communication was excellent; the house was clean and stocked with everything we could have needed. Location wise, it is very close the the beach access point, very easy walk. We loved staying here and would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Oak Island.

Everything was perfect! Great location and easy beach walking access! The porch and rocking chairs were our favorite in the morning and evening.

We had a great time the weather was great and the grandkids had a wonderful time this was our fifth time staying there and we hope to be back next year.

Gail was a great host. Texted me on check in day to make sure everything was ok. House is super close to public beach access. Spacious backyard for your pups to run around. House was clean and had all the essentials. Great stay in oak island!

For us this place had all the we wanted. Close to beach, good driveway to park the boat and a really nice fenced in yard for our dog. I was pleasantly surprise by the very clean outside shower. In most beach homes they are full of spiders and are run down. The shower here was awesome. We were 4 plus one dog so for us the home had plenty of space inside including nice beds and fully functional kitchen. The home is located in a quiet stretch in the middle of Oak Island. We had plenty of room for biking and running our dog. We would stay here again and recommend it for your trip.

Close to the beach

We spent Thanksgiving at this lovely property. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk away, there are close by grocery and seafood shops and the communications with the owner were pleasant and prompt. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well provisioned and easy to work in. We would happily rent this property again!

Second time staying at this property. And like the first stay it was perfect. Very clean. Great communications with the host. Great location to everything. Will definitely stay at this location again.

Overall the house is in a convenient location and just a very short walk to the beach. Home was clean and had everything we would need for our stay. Owner was easy to contact. I emailed the owner prior to booking the property since it did state it had a fenced yard but there were no pics at the time and I was told yes the yard is fenced. However, the yard is not fenced it’s partially fenced and has a 3 foot unfenced opening where a gate should be. The owners response via text was to just put a chair in the opening which is not acceptable. I have an 11 pound dog who would escape easily and there is still a gap in the car port wall where the outdoor shower is where a dog can also escape. Owner stated other renters left dogs out all day and they had complaints so they took the gate down. I should have been notified of this and offered a full refund. The only reason this property was chosen is for that fenced yard. Ultimately the owner apologized and offered to comp 2 days if we rented there again. I was also told they were going to put in the gate after our stay. The gate should have been there to begin with since they advertised the property as dog friendly with a fenced yard.

This was our first family vacation. The first time some of our family had ever seen the ocean. The house is situated where we could walk to the beach whenever we wanted. I don't think that there was anything lacking. She has thought of everything. My husband and I stayed a couple of years ago and really liked it. We would definitely stay again.
