Stayed Jul 6, 2024There were 5 of us adults staying for a couple of days in Seattle before leaving on a cruise to Alaska. We really liked the fact that the house was easy to get to by the light rail from the airport. And we could easily walk the couple of blocks to the light rail to get into and out of Seattle for sightseeing. We even took the light rail to the stop nearest the cruise terminal and were able to walk from there. So we didn't need a rental car which was great. What was surprising was that it was also an easy several block walk to an area with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. So the location was excellent for what we wanted to do. The neighborhood houses on each side are a bit rundown, but there are some newer houses on the street, so it is beginning to turn around. We felt safe. There is a tag for 1 car for on-street parking, which is nice if you have a car. The inside is spacious and comfortable. The previous renters had damaged the sofa and the owner had it replaced while we were there taking care to ask us ahead of time if they could do so. While we didn't cook, there were utensils, dishes, etc. if you wanted to. The washer and dryer were also a nice touch for a longer stay. It was hot, but the house has air conditioning which was nice. It was nice to have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths for the 5 of us. There is also a sofa bed. The owner was very nice and easy to communicate with. We would recommend staying here.

Stayed Sep 26, 2025The overall cleanliness of the place was not great. We especially did not enjoy the neighborhood, while it was close to transportation, the area was not great. We were woken up every night with people yelling on the streets or loud noises. Overall I do not believe the description of the unit met the expectation.

Stayed Sep 19, 2025We had a great stay here! Its an incredibly convenient location, walkable to restaurants and shops as well as the light rail into downtown! The host was incredibly fast to respond to any questions we had and was super friendly!

Stayed Aug 29, 2025The lower tenants woke us up fighting and screaming every night we were there. So much so we had to call the police because there was clear physical abuse happening. The fighting went from 12:00 am-3:00 both nights. I recorded the audio. Contacts the police and contacted the property owner. The property owner told me it would be taken care of and promised he would call to discuss the situation. I sent the audio to the owner. Never heard from the owner or the police. Not a safe place to rent.

Stayed Aug 7, 2025Positives: Inside the house is cute and the light rail was just a few blocks away, as advertised. Negatives: we learned that the air conditioner is controlled by the basement tenant & when we arrived the first night, the house was quite hot inside because the weather had been hot for a few days. We had to contact the owner who then had to contact the tenant to turn on the a/c unit. It was fine at first but then the tenant turned it off during the night & everyone in our party was too warm to sleep. The same thing happened the next day. We had to ask the owner to contact the tenant again to turn the a/c back on. It was a hassle & shouldn't have happened. The upstairs unit should have its own system, independent of the downstairs unit. Especially when customers are renting a space that advertises having air conditioning. Otherwise, there should be a disclosure that the thermostat can be controlled by someone not even living in the space you've rented. The owner should be more upfront about how that system works. Also to note, the house next door is abandoned and boarded up and the yard is completely overrun with 4' high weeds. While I understand one cannot control one's neighbors, it just makes the area look really rundown & feel a bit unsafe. Also, the basement tenant smokes and the smoke was coming into the upstairs unit through the vents so we had to deal with cigarette smoke on top of it all. I would not rent this property again.

Stayed Sep 18, 2024We enjoyed our stay very much. Location was excellent for transportation by light rail. 4 stops to the Stadium and 4 stops to the airport. Very handy. Lack of restaurants around. Just one coffee shop around the corner. But very happy with our choice.

Stayed Jun 26, 2024This place was perfect for our stay. It’s an old house, but in good shape, and had everything we needed. Loved that there was a dining table with six chairs, a well stocked kitchen with nice pots and pans, and that it was within a five minute walk of the light rail. Would definitely come stay here again!

Stayed May 14, 2024Although it turned out to be fine, we had a bit of a rocky start as the property was not guest ready. To his credit, the owner immediately reacted and provided us with clean linens for us to use the first night (we arrived in the evening). The best part about this unit is the proximity to the light rail; it was perfect for airport and sightseeing! Probably the most negative point is that the unit sits between two abandoned/condemned houses. It’s not a very reassuring and welcoming sight.
