Stayed Aug 17, 2024The smallest bathrooms I’ve ever seen not enough room to even turn around in the shower and the refrigerator is downstairs in the basement not exactly convenient There was some sort of outdoor furniture on the deck that needs to be just thrown away Enough parking for two small cars otherwise you block the drive Would never rent again

Stayed Sep 16, 2023Loved the Location and walk to anything you wish. It has very small bathrooms and a take it slowly staircase, but, the view and the history and feel of the place were absolutely the Best. We would stay here again!!!

Stayed Jul 16, 2022We’ve been renting homes in the Cape and Martha’s Vineyard for 20 years. This home was by far the worst house we’ve ever rented. First, the location, while good (near downtown) is down a terrible dirt road that allows for only one car at a time. Try leaving the house while other people are getting to there house (there are 2 or three other down this dirt road ditch). Nope. You have to back up, park and wait. The stairs to the house are fine and obvious in the pictures before you rent. However, the “stairs” to the master bedroom are very, very steep and very, very narrow. They end with a very low ceiling and you must duck when you get to the top of the stairs. And getting a suitcase up there is not easy. I’m 5’4” and I hit my head on the stairs nearly every day. If you have joint problems or are a large/tall person, this house is not for you. My son who is 6’5” had to basically crawl up the stairs to see the room. Next, THERE IS NO DOOR TO THE MASTER BEDROOM. The “door” is a hatch in the floor that we didn’t even attempt to use because it looked so unsafe. So, we spent the vacation with our teenagers in the house with no door on our bedroom… The first morning, I made coffee in the coffee pot. It wasn’t drinkable. It tasted like mold and clearly the coffee pot hadn’t been cleaned in who knows how long? I ended up having to get in the car and drive to the Cumberland Farms down the street every morning for coffee. As indicated in the description, there is no full size fridge in the kitchen, it’s in the basement. But, and this is important, you have to go OUTSIDE to access the basement. Ridiculous. Next, the furniture is not comfortable or conducive for relaxing. Again, my husband and I are not particularly tall but, the kids are tall. They spent their time in the house sitting up in bed as the furniture was too small and too uncomfortable for them. Luckily, the weather cooperated and we spent as much time as humanly possible away from that house and we had a nice time. But, we couldn’t relax in that house, it was uncomfortable, not practical, has dangerous stairs to the master bedroom with no door! and a disgusting coffee maker. I would not recommend this property and we will not be back.

Stayed Jul 2, 2022We had an absolutely lovely stay. The house was roomy and comfortable. We loved the large living room, the awesome front porch and the amazing outdoor shower. Location walking distance to Mayo beach and downtown was also terrific. We got also got to enjoy the live music from happy hours at The Pearl from the comfort of the front porch! Absolutely fabulous stay!

Stayed Jun 18, 2022My family had a lovely stay at this home in Wellfleet. The location couldn't be better! We loved staying so close to Mayo Beach and the restaurants nearby. The home itself is quite comfortable. The stairs to the loft are a little precarious, particularly at night if you have to check on kids downstairs in the bunk room. The living room is nice and large, and we loved the outdoor deck overlooking the marsh. Such awesome sunsets and birdsongs!

Stayed May 14, 2022It's a very funky and fun little house in a beautiful spot. It was very clean with a beautiful deck and lots of light. There's a very cute little deck upstairs. The road was quite close on one side. I'd suggest making sure folks know how steep the stairs are to the main bedroom upstairs. We loved it but if we were older I'm not sure we would have made it up those stairs. I stumbled once but then perfected the art of taking the stairs sideways and holding on. Overall a great place. Thanks for sharing it. And May is a beautiful time to visit Cape Cod.
