This was easily the best vacation rental we've ever stayed in. Most vacation rentals are stocked with very cheap appliances and utensils, and cooking in some can be quite a challenge. But everything here was top notch. My teenage girls really enjoyed each having their own room with comfortable beds. The host provided very clear and helpful communications about our stay before and during our trip. The walk to the beach was as advertised, only seconds away. Incredible views from 2nd floor picture windows.

The selling point of this property is the location for sure - you can't get any closer to the ocean! The home itself has everything you could need, and we rarely felt the need to leave the property. I had some questions before I arrived, and Lisa was extremely communicative. She even helped us get tickets to the aquarium which went above and beyond what I was expecting!

Tastefully updated property in a great location. You are just steps away from the beach. The condo was well equipped, very clean, and the host was so kind. Looking forward to coming back.

This condo has everything to enjoy the paradise of Monterey Bay. It feels private but a short drive to lots of activities (redwoods, aquarium, Santa Cruz). Quiet, clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the sports equipment and cozy throw blankets. Preparing food in the kitchen was easy. Communication with the host was 5 star! Ocean view is amazing! Highly recommend

Every where you turn there are nice reminders, I personally loved that, it made using anything around the house so much easier! I was also emailed instructions that were well thought out and a great reference!

The house is beautiful, and you can't beat the location. It was like it was made specifically for our girls' weekend. Lisa, our host, was very responsive to our questions. If you're looking for a place in this area, you couldn't find a lovelier place!

This is hands down the best Vrbo we’ve ever booked. Lisa has added so many thoughtful features to the home itself to make it comfortable and fun! Stunning views of the ocean (we watched sunsets on the deck), giant TV in the living room, and the Lululemon mirror was great! Kitchen was very well stocked with more than what you need to cook meals/bake. The area is very quiet and serene. Lisa is so kind and responded quickly to requests/messages. My husband and I stayed here by ourselves but the home would be great for a family vacation!

Such a gorgeous beach property in a lovely area. We appreciated so much that there were amenities for kids too (baby gate, toys, movies, Disney, beach toys, etc). Check in was easy and seamless. The instructions for everything were easy to access and understand. The home is tidy. The view and proximity to the beach is unmatched. We will actively be looking to stay in the Dunes for our future visits!

Beautiful rustic beach location ! Beach condo was great! 3 different levels with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Master bedroom did have an odor near bathroom but hopefully can be addressed. Home well stocked with lots of nice extras. Clubhouse has tennis, pickleball, swimming and hot tub. Very private and quiet area! We would definitely stay here again. Another chair or 2 by windows looking at beach would be great! We moved chairs from bedrooms to allow all to sit and watch the beautiful beach!

The location was outstanding, with not just amazing views but such quick and easy access to the beach. Everyone loved being so close to the beach and popping out for playing games, shell collecting or a sunset walk. The property was very well fitted out, with everything you could ever need - TVs signed into all major streaming services, oodles of DVDs (we watched some classics!), electronically adjustable firmness beds, exercise mirror, steam shower, and very modern kitchen. The host was super responsive to even the most minor of issues ensuring a fabulous stay - we could not of asked for more, thank you!

If I could rearrange my trip, I would have stayed here longer.

This place was magical with beautiful surroundings. This condo has very nice appliances and beds. Access to the hot tub was a bonus. We used it as a jumping off point to point loves and Big Sur for day trips and then had a wonderful place to unwind afterward. Would book again!

Lovely coastal location right on the dunes north of Monterey. Easy drive to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The owner was very helpful and responsive. The beds and linens were so comfortable. We saw dolphins from the condo, and a neighbor said there was a pod of whales! All the decor was so cute, and the bathroom fixtures were very luxurious. Highly recommend! (Also we liked the Trolley Car Rotisserie in Castroville for an easy take-out family dinner and the Country Kitchen in Prunedale for a fantastic brunch on our way out of town.)

The pictures don't do the house justice. This place felt more like a home than most rentals. Home is well equipped, comfortable, labels everywhere so you know how things work, and the security at the entrance was amazing! Lisa is a fantastic and I hope to stay here again!

Came for college graduation. View was stunning. Very close to beach. House immaculate and very easy to communicate with host. Everything we needed for a weekend stay. Would love to stay longer in future.

Excellent views of the ocean, easy access to the beach, club house privileges (tennis, basketball, pool in the summer, hot tub, etc), VERY QUIET neighborhood, quick access to Monterey, includes use of four free passes to the Aquarium, very clean, well stocked kitchen, extremely responsive host. This property was perfect! We highly recommend!

We chose this home, after much research, for our first big family vacation and it did not disappoint! The location right on the beach is amazing, especially with the giant windows that allowed me to watch my kids play while staying inside. The comfy chairs were my favorite spot to watch the sunrise with my morning coffee. Every appliance we might need was available. The bathrooms were well stocked and the showers were lovely. I actually slept well each night thanks to the sleep number beds! Our only complaint the whole trip was that we had to leave too soon. Highly highly recommend!

A lovely, cozy and spacious home. Perfect for families or mixed groups. While it’s not a swimming beach, the waves were incredible to watch the house or the short walk to the dunes. The clubhouse has great amenities, and the house provided rackets and other activities. My son and his friend had a great time!

I stayed here over President’s Day weekend with my husband and our two kids (12 and 8), and my cousin, her partner and her son (4). The kids loved the beach which is right in front of the property accessed by a short walkway- it is not swimmable but they loved dipping their feet, playing in the sand and flying a kite that was at the house. We also enjoyed the hot tub at the clubhouse. We all ate dinner at the dining table and there is a huge TV in the living room as well as the bedrooms and big DVD selection plus streaming services. Chairs are set up overlooking the ocean with a telescope. 25 minute drive to Monterey, 8-10 minute drive to Castroville which is a small town with various food options (lots of seafood and Mexican). We met people who live there full time who also recommend a Thai restaurant in Moss Landing which is not far. It was more remote than I realized, surrounded by farmlands, so you definitely have to drive to go anywhere outside the gated community.

The views are wonderful! As stated, the home is only a few seconds from the beach. We have stayed in this area previously and this home has been the best. There are several upgrades which were greatly appreciated. Most important for me was Starlink WiFi! While I don't know much about Lululemon Studio / Mirror, our daughter was very excited and had a wonderful workout. When returning to the Monterey area, this is certainly a home we will return to!

We celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday and I couldn’t have been happier with the place and location. The house is beautiful, super clean, and the views spectacular. I appreciate Lisa’s frequent check ins and would highly recommend this beautiful home.

The house is right on the beach. It was very clean and well taken care of. The only thing we needed to bring was food. Everything else is in the house. The view is spectacular. The host was very welcomeing. I highly recomend this property.

Wonderful stay! Right on the beach, we seen whales and sea lions! Owners were very easy to get in touch with. Has everything you could need. Definitely recommend!

Lisa’s communication is good and she was helpful. She is a kind host. She left a basket of treats and a good bottle of wine for us plus a Christmas tree. She offers use of aquarium passes. This MD home is a mix of new and old. The new: Appliances in kitchen and laundry are new (all mid to high end). Floors and TVs are new. Knife set is new. The old: There are light fixtures, wall heating units, a fan, and drapery rod and clips that are rusted. Two of the bathrooms are nice and updated. The ocean view bedroom is in need of multiple improvements. There is comfortable outdoor deck seating. Living room recliner chairs are great. Game and sports closets are stocked. The bedrooms need a place to store clothes. Some rooms need paint. The beds, have fine mattresses, but some do not have proper, sturdy bed frames. More attention to detailed cleaning and tv cord management are needed. Worn kitchen utensils and used up candles need to be thrown out. Of note, there are instruction signs taped onto walls at most doors, in all bathrooms, at fireplace and in kitchen. We have been in many units at Monterey Dunes over a 30 year period and can say that no matter which unit you stay in, the ocean and its creatures, native plants, birds, bunnies, the dunes, and the Clubhouse never disappoint and there are fun destinations and activities nearby in Castroville, Moss Landing, Monterey, Bug Sur, Pacific Grove, and Carmel.

House was contemporary and spacious. Very well-stocked with dishes and utensils. Made the stay very easy. Very quiet and private.

We were a group of 7 (age range 6-80) and had a fabulous time. The accommodations and location are A++. Lisa's attention to detail is amazing and the telescope with the camera attached was above and beyond. The beds in the bedrooms were all very comfortable and the steam bath was such a wonderful luxury. The kitchen was very well equipped and nothing was lacking. Communication with the host was excellent! The fact that the house comes with 4 passes to Monterey Bay Aquarium was a very pleasant surprise. We hope come back in the summer when the weather will be better for using the tennis courts and hot tub.

It was the perfect visit to see whales, dolphins, and seals from the deck.

My besties and ❤️love the California coastline and we love gather for a few days to each Fall to nosh on great food, drink fine wines, walk barefoot in the sand collecting shells, stay up way too late, get too little sleep, witness the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets and enjoy spiritual experiences and lots of laughs. This home was THE PERFECT HOME for all that that and MORE!

We had a great stay here just a few miles north of Monterey. The place was very nice and had great views. We had a couple of small questions that came up for the owner and they responded quickly and thoroughly to make sure our stay was the best it could be.

This is a really wonderful property. The property is just as described and is as close to the beach as described and pictured with nice easy walkways to the sand. Sunsets were beautiful. The owner’s communication was wonderful. Thanks so much!!

It was a lovely places, with great amenities.

The highlight of this property was most definitely the view of Monterey Bay!!! We enjoyed walking the beach and spotting dolphins and even an orca whale!!! The appliances were state of the art and everything we needed was available! We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated all the little touches too! The app

Found the entire downstairs in this rental to reek of mold and mildew. This is a health concern. The owners do have an air purifier, dehumidifier and Lysol downstairs but these did not alleviate the smell. We were left to make arrangements for our family to use the one upstairs bedroom with twin beds and ultimately we checked out early at our own expense to keep safe. Unbelievable experience. The townhouse was appointed with new appliances and the kitchen had been updated but the entire downstairs area was moist and smelled very strong of mold & mildew.

My family and I have been coming to the Dunes for almost forty years now and staying at this house has been one of our best experiences. The house is amazing and the check in process is smooth and easy. I had also reached out to the owner with a question and was given a response right away.

The condo had everything we needed & was quite cute with its beach decor. Kitchen & bathrooms were all updated & very nice. Sleep Number beds were a really nice touch. Peaceful & tucked away. Beautiful views of the beach & dunes. Great to hear the ocean waves throughout the unit. Cute bunnies hopping around the paths.

We really enjoyed our time together at this nice place! We sat down on the Beach and watched the sunset! With some adult beverages in hand the day was complete! It was nice of the owner to send bye the school of dolphins for us to enjoy! Great place to spend some quality time with our family! We were very pleased with our secret hideaway! We shall return!!!/
