If you need a boat or jet ski rental while enjoying your Douglas Lake getaway, reach out to your host at Mountain Lake Getaways. Douglas Lake is a TVA controlled reservoir and is drawn down from late fall through early spring. The lake is still there, but docks may be sitting on the lake bottom and not at the edge of the property. The lake is typically at full summer pool during the summer months. This dock typically floats through September, but I can not guarantee it.

You will be required to sign a rental agreement, a point of contact form and set up a required security deposit after making your reservation. This is required to stay with us.

The cabin was in a beautiful and quiet area. We really enjoyed the time on the lake and being able to relax. It's close enough to Knoxville, Pigeon Forge, and Smoky Mountain National Park that we didn't have any problems getting around and enjoying the area. Cabin itself had plenty of space and all the normal amenities you would need to be comfortable for a week (or more).

Some things are very dated .The grill was old and rusted. The pool table was not in good shape and not level. The cues were broken with no tips and no chalk. The vrbo folks in charge (Kesley and Jason) were great! The pontoon was great, as well as the beautiful area! We enjoyed our time there. The doc was good and access to the lake was wonderful.

We have 14 people ranging from 3 to adult. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and not be on top of each other in the common areas. The kids spent the majority of the time swimming in the lake or in the game room downstairs. The lake is gorgeous and the water was consistently around 88 degrees and very clean. The house had everything we needed and when I reached out about the broken ladder on the dock, the manager sent a repairman immediately. There isn’t a ton aside from the lake to do but you are within 25 minutes to Pigeon Forge and 45 to Gatlinburg. All in all a fantastic experience and would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful sunset views looking out toward the lake. Plenty of rooms. Very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. Next time may be early summer to enjoy the lake area.

We had a wonderful family vacation here! The house is well-stocked and has a great layout for a large group. We spent a lot of time on the dock and water and the boat rental was perfect! We would definitely stay here again!

We pick this cabin to stay closer to the wedding venue. Didn't have as much room as we thought. Had spiderwebs across the front porch wall and across the doorway. Really don't like walking into spiderwebs. Also killed a roach. Was told it was down due to damage from the storms we had, but should have been cleaned again before we came in. Need to have check out time posted where you can see it. They sent an email but being at the wedding all day, didn't see it. We thought check out of at 11:00, not 10:00

The house was great! The house was very clean and had plenty of room. The hill and stairs to the dock were pretty steep, which wasn’t a problem for us but is something to keep in mind when booking. The lake is pretty deep around the dock so it’s not ideal for small kids but there’s a nice swimming beach about 15 minutes away near the dam that we went to almost everyday. The grocery store is only about 10 minutes away which was great for us. Overall we had a really good time!
