Completely renovated in 2025, this 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath semi-detached home is located in Vanderhorst Plantation, and looks onto the 13th hole of the Jack Nicklaus-designed Turtle Point Golf Course. This Kiawah Island vacation rental offers access tothe seasonal community pool.

When you enter the home, the dining room, kitchen, main living space, and primary suite are on the main floor. The dining room offers a large table with seating for 6. The fully equipped kitchen showcases custom cabinetry, beautiful white quartz countertops as well as a bar that connects the kitchen to the dining room. The light-filled living room hosts plenty of comfortable seating, a flat-screen TV, and access to the back deck. The living room also has games and speakers for additional entertainment.

Down the hall from the living room is the incredibly spacious primary suite boasting a king-sized bed and flat-screen TV. The primary suite has a large attached bathroom with double sinks and a beautiful walk-in shower.

Ascend the stairs to the second floor, and you are greeted by a hallway. At the end of the hallway, you are given access to a small porch on the front of the house. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms on this floor. The first bedroom features two queen beds and a TV. The updated bathroom connected to this room has two sinks, a shower, and a large soaking tub. The second bedroom has one king-sized bed, a TV, and a bathroom with a large walk-in shower.

The shared deck features an array of chairs for stretching out and lounging or congregating around the gas grill for a nice meal and overlooks the golf course just past the backyard of the home.

The home boasts an ideal central location near golf, tennis, bike trails, and Night Heron Park. Ten miles of beach are a short walk or bike ride along the golf course. The home features access to the nearby neighborhood pool (open seasonally).

The home is equipped with washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet. Guests also have access to the two-car garage.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $250. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, and more – the choice is yours!

During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing on one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. Many families also enjoy the kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park.

Kiawah Island is about 40 minutes from historic Charleston, famous for incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, the South Carolina Aquarium, horse-drawn carriage rides, historic landmarks, and sumptuous dining.

    The property was as advertised and was an easy and enjoyable walk to the beach. The property manager was excellent and attentive to our needs. The kitchen and bathrooms are a little dated, but still very functional. We enjoyed our stay very much.

    The home was excellently locate about 5 minute walk to the nearest beach access point (even quicker bike ride). Home made everything you needed. While it could use a little updating, we lacked for nothing & issues were fixed while we were there. There are very few pet friendly options so this home worked very well for our family.

(sparsely populated & expansive, superfine sand)A 5 minute walk to Turtle Point golf course.A 5 minute walk (down the 13th fairway off the back deck) to incredible sunset views.A 5 minute drive from the 2nd gate at Kiawah.The only negative was the beach furniture was old & rusty. However, this was rectified by using the $250 credit at VayK gear for beach chairs. :)

    Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was comfortable. At first I didn’t think I would sleep, as the king bed squeezed pretty loudly. But once in, I was able to sleep good. The coffee maker was the older filter kind, so I was happy they brought me a pod kind. We loved being able to walk to Turtle golf club, one of our favorite restaurants. It was also a close nice walk to the beach All in all a good week.

    We stayed in this home for Thanksgiving. For a rental it had a good assortment of dishes and kitchen appliances. Location is great, house is spacious. You can tell they are in the process of upgrading. Beds upstairs are more comfortable then bed in master, just FYI. If you need a softer bed take one of the upstairs rooms. Overall it was a nice trip.

    Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived on a rainy Saturday to find the roof had a leak which was running water into the living. Due to the storm no one could come out until the next day (understandable). Turned out they needed to have a repair company come out which “would take weeks” and we were to hope the weather (and leaky roof) held. This set the tone for the stay. In terms of cleanliness, there was trash in the bushes (old patio furniture, cans, shoes, etc.) that needed to be cleaned and while maintenance took some of the trash there was still a good bit in the bushes. There were also dead bugs throughout the house - on the window sills, smashed against the walls, in the light fixtures, etc. The property management offered to have the cleaners back out but due to the pandemic and us having an infant we did not want anyone else in the house unless it was an emergency. Overall feel of the house and furnishings was cheap. The best was to describe it is that this is truly a rental and you’re getting rental quality (i.e., cheap and easily replaceable) furnishings, appliances, etc. Do not go into this rental expecting to feel like you are staying at someone’s high end Kiawah vacation home, that isn’t this. On the positive side, the house is a quick walk to the beach and is pet friendly. Although there was no hose or flexible shower head to rinse the dogs off with after going to the beach. We did end up buying a house and nozzle which we left for future tenants. The credit for the beach gear was also a plus. Overall I would not recommend this house and would rate it the second worst rental experience that we’ve had. My wife and I were looking forward to leaving and contemplated leaving early multiple times.

    Overwhelming smell of mold and mildew in addition to the worst beds we've experienced in quite some time. Fortunately, our rental company was awesome and was able to switch us to comfortable, clean smelling villa. I would not rent this one...
