Stayed Dec 31, 1969We have stayed at Priory Court for a few times now and there is good reason. The location in Thornham is great. The property has lots of space, very well maintained and a big garden. However, a bit of feedback to make it even better: Garden - it is absolutely lovely. However, we would suggest adding in more fencing or barriers around the all of base of the hedge that borders the caravan park. Our mid-sized dog has, on two separate visits, managed to get through different sections of the hedge and into the holiday park. A simple small fence or better chicken wire around the base would make it perfectly enclosed for us dog owners who really appreciate being able to sit outside in the garden without the worry of our four-legged friendly going exploring too much! I would guarantee your repeat visits / recommendations would increase too. Cleaning - some of the kitchen cupboards are a bit dirty and could do with a deep clean. Plus, the glasses and crockery have a chalkiness film on them - could be that a better brand of dishwasher tablets are needed. I know we'll be back, but hope the feedback, especially on the garden is helpful.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We booked this for Christmas week for our family of 5 although it easily sleeps 8. Nice and cosy on arrival with lights and heating on. There were goodies (wine, cake, chocolates, biscuits) left for us which was a lovely gesture. Decorations up and two trees in place. Location is right in the middle of Thornham, 200 yds off the main road, very quiet and secluded. Didn’t see a soul all week. Perfectly placed for costal walks and visits to the three excellent local pubs and deli. This is a lovely sized comfortable property with the added bonus of a games room with games including pool table and darts board which went down well for some competitions. WiFi is excellent. Whilst it is comfortable and we really enjoyed our week it wasn’t without a few hitches. The gas fire in the lounge was out of gas on arrival and the local maintainer had to be called to changeover to a full one. Some of the appliances are getting a bit tired too such as dishwasher (struggles to clean) and central heating boiler (has to be turned on and off manually) but overall very well equipped. Overall though, an enjoyable stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969From the outside the house looks nice. Its in a great spot in the middle of Thornham. Unfortunately thats the end of the good stuff. The house is right next to a caravan park. Every window is overlooking the window of a caravan! No privacy at all, luckily it was the end of the summer season so the park was nearly empty. The furniture was grubby, carpet's the same. The whole house is badly in need of decoration. Most everything in the kitchen needed washing first. We had to turn all the heating down before we left and hot water off by scrabbling around in the airing cupboard to find it all! We got to the house like we were told after 4pm so it was pitch black, there were no lights on and the house and it was was freezing, our welcome pack was...WAIT FOR IT.. a washing up sponge dish washer tabs and other cleaning products. No biscuits from farm shop, or fresh bread, pot of jam, bottle of wine....etc thats the sort of thing we usually get. And in the winter the lights are put on or we are allowed to arrive earlier. The heating would be on so the house is welcoming.....this was really not a good stay. Plus we seemed to be the cleaner and house keeper and were paying ( over the top ) for this privilege. We left a day early i just wanted to go back to my own lovely home. Norfolk Hideaways are a brilliant company, normally everything we rent with them is lovely. But i think a re-look at this one is in order. Sorry for the bad review but i don't want anyone else to find themselves in this position. The house needs cleaning, painting and maybe some new furniture. The couches were dirty! Just do this and you have a lovely holiday home.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This house made our large family party, with 8 adults and 4 babies, seem small. It was exactly right for our needs.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Priory Court was in a good position Garden was good for the dogs and children Shower in en-suite could have been much bigger considering the size of the bathroom We could not open the patio doors in the dining room, which was a shame, because we couldn't find a key to fit And it was strange not having the fridge in the kitchen it was in the utility room!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Lovely spacious house and garden, ideal for a family trip and also very close to the amenities of the charming village of Thornham. Need a decent non-stick pan and the shower in the main bathroom could do with an upgrade. We all ended up using the ensuite shower! Comfortable and loads of space though. Really happy with our stay overall, we love North Norfolk :-)

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Heating and hot water stopped working on 2nd day. Property was very cold. After phone calls and visit by contractor confirmed the tank had no oil. Managed to switch water to electric immersion heater and Norfolk hideaways provided a number of electric heaters and agreed discount on rental with owner. Staff were helpful but still felt like we spent the week working as a project manager. Condition of property was mixed. Some nice fixtures on photos, but wooden window frames were rotten and peeling walls and damp on internal walls. Garden was not dog proof as previously advised at time of booking.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Seven of us stayed over the Easter week. It's a well equipped house, especially in the kitchen which has everything you need. Lots of ways to make coffee. Lovely comfortable beds, spacious lounge and dining room and great games room. It also has an enormous garden which sadly we didn't get to use because of the poor weather. Great house you will love it. But take note. If you are there on bin day please note that you need to take the bins to the end of the lane or they won't be collected. Instructions in the house are ambiguous .
