Only thing that was strange was that you needed a fob to get onto the beach - lots of rules for the beach. Better to rent than to take your own stuff.

The screened in front porch & 2 upper porches were fun too. The home is spacious & cozy at the same time. The heated pool a block away was perfect for the days that were too windy or cool for the beach. It was great to have the access pretty easily available too. We would definitely stay again!!

It does have a decent walk to the beach and you have to kind of go through a gate to get to the beach. But that's not the fault of the house. It would have been nice to have had some bikes or Beach things to go with the house.

A 3 minute walk to the beach, clean, quiet community, not on a busy road, and we so enjoyed all of these things! Our only issue is that the washing machine began leaking on Friday and maintenance was not able to fix it. Laundry service was offered at no charge however they would not be able to arrive until Sunday. With 10 people in the house, this was a pretty big inconvenience. Thankfully there was a laundromat several minutes from home, but this did make things more difficult as we were unable to do laundry in the house for duration of our stay.

Unfortunately, the management company was NOT up to the standards of the house. When I called to check in, they told me the washing machine was being repaired but would be fine at check in. We checked in without issue. The ice maker didn’t work well (about 6 ice cubes per 24 hrs) and the oven was not hot enough. I put in a load of clothes, only to have the bottom floor flood. I called, and the company was responsive but the guy who came told me he had been there the other day and just turned the water valve off because it was broken and he didn’t know how to repair it. I told him of the ice maker and oven, and he looked at them and said “that is just how they work because they are efficient. Just turn up the oven temp by 100 degrees and buy a bag of ice”. Also, When it flooded, we used all our towels to stop the water from soaking into the bedrooms worse than it already had. I called to get more towels and laundry service. They responded the next day and brought towels about 36 hours after we requested them. I asked to speak to management and they said they would call but never called me back. Choose a different company to rent from. I hope the owners wise up as well and switch. I spent half a day wringing out wet dirty clothes and mopping up water off the floor. Not an ideal vacation.

We received a text saying that if we wanted to check in early if the rental was ready for a $65 fee. Fine, we would have paid that. Never got a message saying that the rental was ready. We went ahead to the property to see if it was ready around 3:30. It was, but we still couldn’t get in until 4:01. Then we tried to wash clothes and the washing machine started flooding the floor and wouldn’t drain. I texted the company and they said that they were waiting on a part from a third party vendor. Come to find out that the washing machine wasn’t working before we arrived. It would have been nice to have known that beforehand so we could’ve packed more clothes. Had to go up to the rental office to get more bath towels since we couldn’t wash clothes after calling/texting 3 times to get towels. The washer never got fixed and we had to wash some clothes in the bathtub just to have some decent smelling clothes to wear. Needless to say that we won’t be renting from Benchmark 30A ever again!!
