Shakespeare’s famed Cawdor Castle and Brodie Caste are both within 15 mins drive. Golfing enthusiasts will be attracted to the two 18-hole championship courses, including the Nairn Golf Club, and the town also has an outdoor tennis court as well as a squash court for hire. The yearly Nairn Highland Games in August draws a wide crowd and The Nairn Book and Arts Festival is a popular year event. Whitewater rafting, tubing and cliff jumping are all available for those with a spirit for adventure. Day trips from the local airport are available to Orkney and Shetland and the Cairngorm National Park with skiing and hiking are within 1 hour.
