2 Golf Carts ~ Screened Porch ~ Community Pool

The property was everything and more, as advertised. We have been staying at various Destin rentals for over 25 years and this was the cleanest property we have ever walked in to. Check-in and check-out simple and flawless. Customer service/rental management, when called, friendly and very responsive. Only (very minor) change would be to supply more than one trash bag /lining for kitchen trash container. Definitely recommend this property!

Nice, well equipped house. Enjoyed our vacation and the access to the golf car for getting to the beach, supermarket and other amenities was great.

Reviewer Comments: We received a voicemail a month or 2 prior to arrival that 1 of the 2 golf carts was out of order and no ETA on it being fixed and no further communication received. Having 2 golf carts was one of the top 2 reasons we booked this property. Also, we received a call a couple hours prior to arrival that the washer was also out of order and were told a vendor would be out to repair the next day. I called the first 3 days for updates and the washer was still not repaired when we left this morning. Again, having a washer when vacationing at the beach is a high priority when booking a property. Other than these issues, our stay was great and would have given 5 stars

The property itself was wonderful. However, we would NEVER rent through My Vacation Haven again. I feel bad for the property owners as they do not know how My Vacation Haven is running their property. In April we were told the second golf cart was broken, it was a “quick fix” but they weren’t sure when it would be fixed. We talked with them and told them we rented the property ONLY for the (2) carts. We requested to cancel the reservation and we were told no. We were lead to believe there was a chance the second cart would be ready by June. I personally called My Vacation Haven several times checking on the status of the second cart. On 5/28 I called and I was told the second cart was being picked up to be serviced on 5/29 and it was a quick fix. I was told to call back on 5/31 and was told “as of 32 minutes ago, the cart arrived back at the property”. We arrived on 6/1, only to find one set of cart keys, I called the property manager only to be told that it was cart #1 that was ALSO broken (never told about that), but it was fixed and cart #2 was not working and will not be fixed until October. So we have been lied to this entire time and were never told Cart#1 was ALSO broken. We requested compensation for Cart#2, as we were mislead/ lied to on it being fixed. We were told that it was “a miscommunication on their end, but would not compensate us”. Would not recommend anyone to rent through them.. EVER!

We love staying in Sandestin and using golf carts to go to the beach and the Grand Boulevard shopping/ eating areas. The property was very clean and updated. We enjoyed hanging out on the screened in front porch and the pool was just feet away from the house. The only issue we had was that the title for the listing had 2 golfcarts, which was the main reason we chose this particular house. We were traveling with 7 people. However, we were told prior to taking our trip that there would only be one golf cart and there was essentially nothing we could do as Sandestin does not allow for outside rentals. We were disappointed that the property management company could not offer us any sort of solution or compensation. By the time we found out about the issue, other properties were booked. We made the most of it and still had a great time!

Great fun on the golf carts with the kids plus they had beach toys which was a nice perk.
