The Space:

Originally constructed in 1847, the Sunday Haus (which is not part of the accommodations) was known as the John Jakob Peter Haus and remained in the same family for over 70 years. In recent times, an exquisite guest house was seamlessly added to the main dwelling, resulting in a spacious and welcoming suite for our esteemed guests. Adorned with remarkable antique furnishings and modern conveniences, Eva’s Guest House is the ultimate haven for relaxation and rejuvenation.



Eva's Guest Haus is comprised of two tastefully appointed bedrooms, two luxurious bathrooms, a cozy sitting room, and a fully equipped kitchen, accommodating up to four guests comfortably.



With stately four-poster beds, provided linens, and an array of antiques, the bedrooms exude an air of romance and refinement. Stepping through the bedroom or living room doors, you'll discover the private back porch and yard where you can unwind in tranquility. The bathrooms, conveniently located adjacent to the bedrooms, offer a choice between a shower in the first bathroom and a nostalgic antique claw-foot tub with a shower attachment in the second. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi access throughout the house, a welcoming gas fireplace in the living room, and a secluded backyard retreat.

Guest Access:

Guests will enjoy complete access to Eva's Guest Haus, while the Sunday Haus, located at the front of the property, accessible via one door from the guest bedroom, will remain securely locked at all times.

- If any furniture is moved, please place it back in the original space where it was found.

- Additional charges (including shipping fees) may apply if personal items are left behind.

- This is a dark sky community. Please be sure to shut off any lights while not in use. A Dark Sky Community is a designated area that takes measures to reduce light pollution, preserving the natural night sky for the benefit of both people and wildlife.

- In the event that you need to use the hard key, please place it back in the lockbox before departing. Failure to return any keys used to the lockbox will result in a $50 replacement fee per key.



HVAC Rules: Please do not set the home's thermostat above 76 (heating) or below 68 (cooling). To avoid overloading the system, please adjust the thermostat by no more than 2 degrees per hour and keep the doors and windows closed as much as possible. If you encounter any issues, don’t hesitate to contact us.

    What a beautiful cottage!! So comfortable, cozy and oh so charming!! Highlight for us was sitting in the rockers on the front porch until about 1am enjoying a breeze and good quiet conversation when out of the blue there are 5 deer in the street in front of us and 2 deer in the yard. I highly recommend Eva’s Guest Hauz!!!

    Such a wonderful haus! The gas fireplace was awesome for cold nights. Loved the private back porch. Located on a very safe and clean neighborhood street. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing some of our meals. The property managers were so nice and helpful. We had an awesome five-night stay and would definitely choose this rental should we return to Fredericksburg :)

    Home is very comfortable! Good for 4 people but not more than that….. convenient to Main Street….. we walked. Wish the tv was larger….. very small and hard to see.

    Two couples, getting away for the weekend. Loved the historic charm of the house. Peaceful back patio perfect for drinking coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. We were able to walk to one of our favorite restaurants, Hill and Vine, as well as to Main Street. Beds were super comfortable! management was very responsive and helpful!
