2 Bedroom, 2 Bath Hot Tub home in the Galena Territory

The place was very nice and we enjoyed the hot tub. Upon arriving at the cabin, we discovered a mouse in a sticky trap, which is the reason for our lower rating.

This home was clean and hot tub was great! It’s located in a very nice neighborhood that’s great for walking your dogs. This place deserves a 5 star rating because of the cleanliness, location, and responsiveness from the host. I contacted the host a couple of times and responses were prompt. We enjoyed our stay. I would just recommend a new set of drinking glasses, wine glasses, and coffee mugs. They were mismatched and worn but, definitely wouldn’t stop me from coming back again.

I absolutely loved staying here for my cousin’s bachelorette!! It was perfect for our group of girls and we absolutely loved everything about the cabin and about Galena. Would absolutely recommend!!

Beautiful location. Very clean and felt like home. The hot tub was in the perfect location on the upper deck off of both bedrooms. It had easy access through sliding hlass doors. I will bring my family here again!

Great place for our long weekend to Galena. Love that it is dog friendly and place looks exactly like the pictures. This is our third stay and we hope to stay again!

The cabin was as expected! It was clean, great location not far from downtown Galena, in a nice neighborhood but still private. The bed was comfortable, liked the large bathroom, hot tub was great! The only improvements I would suggest is to fix the broken blinds, the water pressure was just okay and the keurig wasn’t working but other than that we greatly enjoyed our stay and would stay again!!!

Our recent stay at this property was unfortunately very disappointing due to significant cleanliness, maintenance, and potential health concerns.Upon arrival, the home was not properly cleaned. The floors had not been adequately swept or mopped, the baseboards were visibly dirty, and there was a noticeable amount of hair in both the bathtub and shower. Additionally, the kitchen and bathroom drawers and cabinets contained crumbs and debris and had clearly not been wiped out. The overall condition did not meet basic cleanliness expectations.We also experienced several maintenance issues during our stay. The bathtub drain plug was broken, making it unusable. The shower had extremely low water pressure, and the shower head was mounted unusually low, making it uncomfortable to use. The sliding door locks were very difficult to secure and appeared partially broken, which raised security concerns. Many of the blinds throughout the property were also broken or missing slats.Most concerning, after returning home, all three members of our family developed multiple painful, swollen bites consistent with flea or bed bug exposure. Our dogs are treated year-round for fleas and ticks, and we found no evidence of infestation on them. This was especially troubling and caused significant discomfort and concern for our family.We contacted the host regarding these issues but have received no response.We hope these concerns are addressed so future guests do not have a similar experience.

Cute, clean house in a very nice area!

Very well kept, comfortable atmosphere and easy to find- set back but not too far from town. Was well stocked with everything we needed for the kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars was that the downstairs was absolutely freezing and would not warm up (probably nice in the summer but not awesome in the winter) and the shower is a very small corner like shower that is not relaxing or easy to shower in. We would totally visit again though!

Being able to walk out my bedroom and climb in a hot tub was fantastic. Plus the view was superb. Plenty of TVs for background noise/music. My wife and I enjoyed the game room, the air hockey table wasn't very good, but many aren't. I did get an opportunity to start teaching her chess and loved the Pac-Man game. The kitchen was set up nicely and had most needed utensils for food prep, but a whisk would have been nice. We took our 2 German Shepherd Dogs and the loved being able to sit out on the deck with us after a long day in Galena. Now for the dreaded shower. Serious lack of pressure. I felt like it was barely adequate to rinse off my body wash. Luckily I showered first and my wife, who has long hair, was glad she brought her dry shampoo. Plus it was very tiny shower, probably 32x32 and the shower head only hit my chest. For a large man like myself it makes it hard to maneuver. They make many great low pressure shower heads, trust me we have one in our house. Is this enough to knock a star off, definitely No. I have been to enough VRBOs to know dont expect a great shower experience. The only other downfall to this rental is my wife is asking when do we get to go back.

The property was great, not ideal for small kids or easy to walk pets on, the yard is very steep, but it was clean, quiet and overall relaxing.

This was a great property to stay at while exploring Galena. After a day of walking the hot tub was soooo nice!!!

This is one of our favorite properties in the Galena Territory. We have stayed twice and plan to again.

We had a wonderful time in Galena! We spent tons of time enjoying the beauty on the back deck of the home. Highly recommend!

We heard a low beeping sound when we first checked in and they responded immediately and had someone over to shut it off right away. The property was wonderful and we will definitely do another girls trip there. My boys would love it too with the game room. Excellent experience!

The property had everything we needed for our stay. The grounds were quiet and beautiful. The seven year old learned how to play air hockey. Really enjoyed the outside deck for reading and eating.We saw rabbits and wild turkey. We loved using the pool at the Owner’s Club.

The house was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. We were so happy to be able to bring our dog with us for the weekend. She enjoyed playing in the yard and even saw a couple deer and wild turkeys. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and the beds are very comfortable! We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening overlooking the quiet woods.

This property was exactly what we all needed to escape reality for awhile. It was quiet with all the amenities and we really enjoyed the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful area in the Galena Territory. House was clean and looked like it had been remodeled recently. We enjoyed the hot tub after shopping and sight seeing all day. Had a wonderful long weekend with family . Would stay here again!

Property was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed all the amazing amenities it had to offer. Quick drive to main steeet.

Disappointed with the experience. The house is taken care of and it's in a good neighborhood. However, the fact the we all (four adults) got massive rashes from the hot tub did not make the stay worth experience. If you pick to stay at this property avoid the hot tub or make sure the water is safe. We booked it for the weekend and were with high fever and chills on Monday.

This property had everything listed and then some! Even without leaves on the trees, the views were beautiful. The scenic drive was gorgeous and not far from downtown Galena at all. We felt right at home from the getgo. Even though there are homes nearby, we felt like we had all the privacy we were looking for and it was nice and quiet.

Thoroughly enjoyed our comfortable cottage in the woods. It was a great way to enjoy the Galena Territory.

We had a nice time visiting Galena and the surrounding area. The beds were comfortable, the drive to Galena reasonable and the area quiet. Nice to get away from the big city for a bit.

My husband and I loved our stay. Morning soaks in the hot tub, Warned up with the fireplace. Comfortable bed! Fun game room. Lots of privacy. Highly recommend.

I was looking for a relaxing home for my husband 60th birthday and this place did not disappoint. We enjoyed the solitude and quiet countryside. The hot tub was spectacular along with the electric fireplace in the living room. It was just a short drive to downtown Galena. It was about a 15-minute drive. I would rent this home again!

The property and location were both amazing! My family used to own a house right down the road on Belden School Lane that I have many fond memories from, and it was awesome to be able to come back to the area and see that it’s just as beautiful as it was when I was a kid.

Throughly enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and inviting and the scenery was gorgeous!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. We especially loved the two balconies and the covered hot tub right outside of the bedroom. The place is actually bigger than what it looks like in the photos with the living room and kitchen being very spacious. We enjoyed relaxing on the balconies overlooking nature.

A lovely little place to perch in the Galena Territory, with wooded ravine views and privacy.

Spent labor day weekend with my wife and friends had a blast. Very clean and quiet just what we wanted.
