17 Firethorn - HGTV Wow-Worthy, Pool, Fire Pit

This is an outstanding property, and it is the second time we have stayed here. That said, there are many little things that were disappointing and reflect a lack of attention to detail. Dryer on main level not working due to door, which meant we had to do laundry upstairs. Lights in main kitchen weren't working until maintenance person came out. Some other lights not working. Not enough shampoo and conditioner and soap for such a large house. Dishwasher doesn't clean well and also is hard to close. Room with twin beds overlooking pool very warm. Some doors don't function properly. And other things I'm forgetting. Each of these are relatively minor, but together they add up to a significant amount of frustration.

Amazing house worth every penny

Great location and setup for multiple family stay. Amenities were exactly as shown and home was perfect.

This property was very well laid out for the five couples that came to stay there; with 5 bedrooms and 5 separate baths. A couple of the beds on the 2nd floor were not as easy to get to or had smaller beds but the concept worked well us. The elevator was truly a blessing as one of the wives had a broken leg and was in a wheel chair. She was able to use the upper floor master as it had more room to move around in that the 1st floor bedroom had. We mostly used the upper floor for our activities etc because of the access for her. Having the two kitchens was great because we did most of our meals in house and it gave us more options for cooking for a larger group and had ample pans, kitchen tools, dishes, etc. It would have been good to have had a more detailed guide to what was where and how to use things. There were so many light switches it took a while to find out which went where and we didn't find the ice maker until about day three but finally figured out how to use it and that helped a lot. With the screening down on the roof of the lanai it was not as well cleared of debris as it could have been but with the cooler weather we did not use it so much but we did love to sit out in the evening and enjoy the fire pit. There was a problem getting the key to work on the small garage walk door so we had to run out the big door while closing and have it locked from the inside. Everyone loved the decor and the big areas with large tables and plenty of chairs for seating.

This place was the absolute best! Sparkling clean and very well stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. Plenty of room for all the family - nine total. So many living spaces - great for everyone to get away for quiet time or get together for lively time. The elevator was a nice bonus. My favorite place: a seat in front of the poolside fireplace. Property managers were super responsive. Will checked in often to ensure all was well.

House was perfect. Location, pool, amenities,everything was great except the weather and because the house had so much to offer we spent a lot of time there. Would definitely recommend it for your family.

HH is a great family destination. The house was perfect for my family. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and pool area was top notch. Very kid friendly.

This is a well-appointed property in a wonderful location. Property managers extremely responsive! Had a small issue and they had someone to the house in no time. Very easy check-in. Garage space perfect for stuff, including yoga and batting practice :) Our biggest complaint is the claim that this sleeps 14. The bunk room is suitable only for children under 12! My sons (17, 21) could not fit on beds. The top bunk has a labeled weight limit. Thankfully there is a giant couch on which they crafted a bed. Spent A LOT of money for 2 guests to sleep on a couch. Sleeps TEN adults comfortably. Bathroom situation great for large number of guests. Kitchens were stunning. Surprised that it was 100% empty. Our experiences had us finding basics like olive oil, salt & pepper, etc but nothing here. I understand some wiuld prefer that. Bath towels and toiletries provided. Nice welcome gift upon arrival. While information was accurate, printing a copy would have been helpful. QR codes are EVERYWHERE on the island. Great if you are, sadly, attached to your phone. Laminate a copy and put on each floor. So simple. Another oddity is the number of light switches! Lots of switches, yet property so dark inside. Windows on one side of building, so we were constantly looking for light! Twin bedroom has a tiny lamp. Minimal a/c. Loft bedroom is neat space. Light switch for bed in loft area at base of spiral staircase. Odd. Design flaw rather than property management. Again, they were awesome.

The overall experience was great, we had minor concerns, however, the host was very responsive and accommodating. The location and amenities the home had to offer were exceptional. I would definitely recommend it. Thank you for a memorable time!!
