100' Cayuga Lakefront Cottage Private Dock & Boat Lift Sleeps 8

This was a nice property for a multi-generational family vacation with 5 adults and 1 toddler. The kitchen has all the necessities and was spacious enough for 2 people to work at once. The living room was a good area for the toddler to play, with the screened porch and yard areas added bonuses! The road to cross to get to the lake has very little traffic and there's a small staircase leading to the lake level. The hosts were quick to respond to questions. The only suggestion I would make would be to put 1 good mattress in the loft, rather than the 2 currently there that were not comfortable for my son.

The house is spacious and comfortable and the porch toward the lake is great. We spent many hours at the waterfront area which is perfect for swimming, sunning, relaxing and campfires. The proximity to Aurora and wineries is a bonus. Elizabeth is responsive and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again.

The only saving grace for the week was that Long Point State Park is very close by & quite beautiful. We also enjoyed the wineryThe house needs a lot of TLC & general maintenance everywhere. The decks are all splintered & peeling The bathroom was only wiped down & not really clean when we arrived. Cob webs in the loft & hanging from light fixtures throughout the house -Outdoor area need weeding & is unkempt. Weeds are growing out of the gutters-Deceptive pics - lake area far from house . No back deck or stairs leading to yard -Uncomfortable living area - 1 small couch & two wooden rockers literally no place to sit for a house that supposedly sleeps 8-the loft is really decorative only. Not suitable for sleeping with about 6” of space between mattress & ceiling -Bed very uncomfortable. Awful pillows & no extras available in -No Vacuum available for cleaning up during the week -Screen porch :furniture is extremely squeaky & needs wd40, full of cobwebs & dead bugs . - No Citronella candle for front porch - Bathroom lights aren’t working - Garbage cans were full when we arrived - previous tenants did take garbage to curb as directed- The whole area smells of manure when the breeze blows from the farms in the areaIt’s really a shame because this bungalow could be a 5 star destination . Note: we asked for the address before we booked to view the outside of the property & the host was not amenable. Now we understand why! We should have realized this was a red flag

We really enjoyed our stay. The view overlooking the lake from the porch is spectacular. The location is great as it’s close to King Ferry Store as well as Aurora and Union Springs. The dock and beach area are very nice! Overall we had a great time!

We loved our trip to this property! It was great for our family to soend the weekend and go kayaking or fishing. Incredible view.

Lovely home with lake access perfect for unwinding. Spent a lot of time sitting on the screened porch and dock.

Upon arrival, host's husband was staining the deck railing. He stated he thought we were arriving the next day(like what?). Before leaving he said he needed to check the water filter. Entering the house we observed: ripped screens, filthy and dusty with cobwebs everywhere, dead leaves in screens, pull out sleeper sofa broken, house rules indicate to use dishwasher upon vacating but dishwasher was already full, furnishing was poor, rules specified guests are required to wash and dry towels but no detergent was provided, ping pong table had paddles missing felt and had tape on them and table had a broken support leg, no AC in bedrooms, inoperable pedestal fan missing buttons, loft is an unusable sleeping area filthy with 3' max clearance more decorative than functional. Outside, the steps leading to the lake were overgrown with weeds and bisected by a road not listed or shown in any of the posted pictures or descriptions. Fire pit was completely overgrown with weeds and unusable. What was worse, the second day water pressure dropped significantly. The third day, we were without water. Texted the owner she stated it needed a new filter her husband would be there. Asked when, never responded. Why not change it when first arrived obviously they knew about it? Lastly false listing: owner has mountain view checked, no mountains. no central air. Steps on deck in picture have been removed so back deck is useless. Picture needs to be updated. No panoramic view from house. Unacceptable

The hosts are amazing! Great little place for a couple or family. Nice lake front area.

We had a wonderful long Columbus Day weekend ! The location of this small lake house is awesome, views are breathtaking! We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and we set by a fire on the small beach under stars! The house is not big but very cozy and friendly. Our hosts were great very easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend!

Clean, good location, great views

Cozy two bedroom with loft as shown in pictures. Nice shale beach area and dock were great on good weather days. Spacious porch was the perfect space for crafting on rainy days. Walking distance to state park and short drive to wineries and village. We had a relaxing, lovely week and would love to stay there again.

My family and I enjoyed a week here. The cottage had everything we needed. The access to the lake was great. It was nice to have a little beach area with a fire pit. The boat lift was an added bonus so we could keep our boat in all week. The views were amazing. Nice and peaceful!

Enjoyed our stay, cottage was as shown in photo’s. Good size yard and plenty of parking for vehicles and boat trailer. Very happy to have use of the boat lift. The screened porch was great, we spent most of our time there. Will plan on returning next year !!

We stayed here for 2 nights, it was exactly what we needed. The Host was top notch, the property was well maintained and the cottage was exactly as the write up said. It literally has everything you need for a great stay. I will stay here again.

The property was perfect for our group of 8, including 4 adults and 4 kids. The location was quiet and perfectly situated to allow area for indoor and outdoor games, as well as plenty of fishing, swimming and kayaking on the lake. Campfires by the lake, which also allowed you to watch gorgeous sunsets. Many family memories created and hope to return again next summer! The host was very responsive to all of my questions and a delight to correspond with!

My wife and I stayed 4 days at this wonderful lake house for a fishing trip. Elizabeth was great to communicate about every detail we had questions about. The house was very clean and well stocked. The views were awesome from the front deck overlooking the lake.

We truly enjoyed the outdoor area of the house, especially the deck by the lake. Our host was very gracious and accommodating. We highly recommend this property and we would definitely consider returning on another occasion.
