100 Barefoot Steps to Beach, Glorious Lagoon Views, Back Porch & Multiple Seating Areas

We had a wonderful stay in Kiawah. The house was perfect for our family. This is the first house we've stayed in on Kiawah that had a very well stocked kitchen. We will for sure go through iTrip again!

This home was a great find! It’s immaculate, comfortable, roomy, with great beachy decor. We loved how close it was to the beach- only took a couple of minutes to walk there. That beach access point was never crowded the whole week we were there.

We had such a wonderful stay at this home! It was incredibly comfortable, well-equipped with everything you need for the beach, and just a short walk to the sand. It made for the perfect, relaxing getaway. We truly enjoyed every moment and will absolutely stay again!

Just got back from 4 nights / 5 days staying at the Surfscoter on Kiawah Island. It was the perfect layout for the five of us to celebrate a milestone birthday. One level living with 4 beds in 3 bedrooms requiring only 2 of us to share the king bed. Large open living / dining area was quite comfortable for us to play games and dine in. The home is located within steps of the #10 beach access path. And the beach is spectacular!!! Because the home is located within a gated community, the number of beachgoers is very limited, allowing for an enormous amount of free space to sit and relax, swim, play beach games and go for long walks. The beach amenities worked out so perfectly for us. There were 5 beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, (toys for young ones), and a rolling wagon to put it all in to take to the beach. There was also a rolling cooler to use as well. Just outside the community is Freshfields Village, which includes a grocery store, shops that sell wine and spirits, a bike rental shop, ice cream shops, and many many other shops and restaurants. We had a fabulous time and vowed to return to Kiawah Island, and stay at Surfscoter again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Kiawah for spring break and our stay in this house. Everything was perfect: the location next to the beach and just off Eugenia Ave, the house itself was large and clean with everything a vacationing family might need, and the property managers were communicative and responsive. Recommended.

Home is well maintained, has a nice lay-out, is a few steps from a lovely beach, kitchen is well stocked with untensils, pots and pans, etc. and rental company is very responsive to questions/concerns.

This home was everything we could have asked for on Kiawah Island! Very comfortable layout and beautifully decorated. Close enough to beach to hear the waves. The back deck overlooking pond was a great for reading and dining. Lots of wildlife to keep us entertained! Thank you to the awesome hosts!

We had 6 people in our group. Mother, daughter, daughter trip. it was a perfect location, a very short walk to the beach that was beautiful. and house was well stocked, there is a grocery store right up the road, very convenient. We saw a few alligators right out the back yard, was fun to see them. very quite neighborhood. would stay there again.

This was our second time at Surfscoter and everything was great. We noticed that the house had several nice updates and the location can't be beat! We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay in this home for a long weekend over the Thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen had everything we needed for a full Thanksgiving meal with plenty of serving pieces! We’ve been to Kiawah several times and were pleasantly surprised how close the house was to the beach. Would definitely come back!

We so enjoyed our stay at this lovely home on a lagoon and within easy walking distance to a beautiful beach. Beds were comfy. Lots of space to spread out .Kitchen was fully stocked. The management staff was quick to answer any questions. The weather was great even with the blustery winds. Enjoyed exploring the island. Tea Plantation on Wadmalaw was quite interesting. Enjoyed lunch at Heron Night Park and dinner at Tomasso's. Beautiful place to relax and unwind!

The location of Surfscooter is about as good as you could ask for. My wife has to use a wheelchair and we could easily get to the beach down the asphalt public access and boardwalk. In September the water is still warm and the beach is pretty empty. The house is very clean and well stocked in the kitchen if you want to cook. The beds were comfortable and linens were good quality. Plenty of nice places to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. The back deck has two nice rockers and a table to eat outdoors. We took advantage of the gas grill with a tasty steak and shrimp dinner. The lagoon in the back has plenty of wildlife (Alligators, Great Blue Heron, Egrits...). There were games in the hall closet for the rainy days and some beach chairs in the outside storage shed for the sunny days. The home is nicely decorated and furnished. One thing that could be improved is the front steps. The rise has got to be the maximum allowed by code. Its would have been nice to extend the steps out one more and lower the rise. We would highly recommend a stay here.

We stayed at 86 Surfscoter ln. The pictures on line did not do justive to the actual home. Every room was comfortable clean and well decorated. The kitchen had every thing you would need and the grill had a back up propane tank. Light switches and kitche. Drawers were well labeled making everthing easy to find. Queit neighbordhood and close the the beach. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay! House was well equipped and comfortable- perfect for our young family. 3 min walk to the beach. We will be back for sure!

The place was absolutely stunning the hosts were amazing. Distance to the ocean was like a minute's walk! It has everything you could possibly need for a big family of six. Will definitely book again ?

Wonderful home with a great location! Great space, clean, well cared for, with all the accessories needed. We hope to be back to Kiawah next year and Surfscoter will be our first pick. We have come every summer for years, and this is our favorite place we have stayed.

The location of this rental is fantastic. It is so close to the beach!! However a couple of things were really difficult about the rental. The second bathroom ONLY has a hand held held shower. There was NO hook to keep the shower head up and if you didn’t hold it, it would collapse. Thus showering in this bathroom was NOT enjoyable. The half bathroom has a toilet which is located directly next to the door. This made it very awkward to use. Moreover the beds were very uncomfortable ( mattress) and you may want to bring your own pillows. The kitchen appliances need updating. The freezer even leaked when you opened the door. There was even a note to watch for leaking when the door was open. Also the tv in the sunroom has spots on it when you watched it. The washer and dryer worked but were especially loud!! Lastly the master bath has a very, very high tub. It’s quite unusual and it was difficult to use at times because of the height of it. Overall I think this property needs some TLC…check the vents, they even are chipping. P.S. The property needs more bath towels. I think we were given 5.

House was perfect-clean, well stocked and close to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay. House had everything we needed.
