HANDICAP ACCESS
There are 2 small steps up to the front door into the main house, so some assistance will be needed. Once through that door, you are on the main floor where there is a kitchen, dining room, living room, a full bath and a half bath. No stairs are necessary to climb. The bathroom in the main house has a huge shower with a handicap rail. The rest of the bathrooms have no rails.

There are no stairs to enter the apartment. There is a separate outdoor entrance.

MOUNTAIN HOME BUG DISCLAIMER.
We do our utmost to control insects. However we are in the mountains so insects can still get into the home despite our best efforts. A few might get in during your stay. Lady bug seasons are common in Asheville. We spray and vacuum but they can still accumulate daily. It is a common occurrence for all homes in this area.

SECURITY CAMERA
There is a security camera pointing down the driveway to monitor who comes and goes for safety and security purposes only. We do not wish to be invasive at all during your stay.

    House was large with plenty of space for family of 13. Kitchen was great with all needed for Thanksgiving. Beautiful views from most rooms. Sunrise and Sunsets were amazing!Fireplaces were not working when we were there, which was a major disappointment when it got cold. Road is very winding and intimidating for many of our Florida drivers, especially at night.

    Coordination with manager (Cam) was wonderful and responsive. Good Stay. Only one problem which needs tending. The MBR temperature ranged from 78-88 degrees between morning and evening. It faces a western sun and the cooling floor registers can not keep up with the heat. I suspect that this complaint has been voiced before because two of the registers are electrical assisted. The quick fix is a floor box fan to blow in cooler air from the family room. Best fix is to add an additional a/c unit for that space. The MBR room is UNSATISFACTORY during the summer months.     Group of 16 stayed at the property for 3 nights. It was plenty of space and comfortable. There was enough stuff in the kitchen for us to make our breakfasts to eat together and make snacks. The back patio is really nice to hang out and watch the sunset. We were also lucky enough to see a black bear scratching his back on the tree out back 2 of the mornings. Cam was very helpful and communicative through the process ahead of our stay and was able to accommodate check in and check out around our flight times. With the number of us, we ended up with some cold showers, so just be sure to spread out shower times if you have a lot of people. Also, be aware that 3 of the beds upstairs are in an open area on the landing at the stop of the stairs, so I recommend bringing a noise machine or ear plugs if you’ll have people sleeping there while people are active in the kitchen/living room below. If you don’t have a rental car - We were able to schedule Ubers/Lyfts to go to and from downtown within a reasonable wait, but I definitely recommend scheduling them instead of waiting until you’re ready to leave to get one if you have a set time you need to be somewhere. Overall, the place was a great spot and exactly what we were looking for. Would def stay again if going back to Asheville with a large group.

    We had a big group of 14 of us and really enjoyed our stay! The house was plenty big for us and the views were amazing. Camille was a fantastic host and very responsive and accommodating for our needs. Would definitely recommend staying here!

    We had an amazing weekend here, the house was very spacious and slept our large group comfortably. The view from the back deck was incredible, can’t beat the sunsets there. Would definitely stay again.
