The Great Escape - Shirley with secluded Private Hot Tub - accommodates up to 4 guests

The unit was clean as far as the kitchen beds linens etc. but there is an overall odour from inside the cupboards of mold so we didn’t use them. The bathroom also had an odour of sewer. We notified the owner who added a plug in air freshener The ceiling on the trailer is covering in what looks like moisture stains which may be the cause of the smell. The grounds were lovely and the communication was great and concerns dealt with right away altho we feel more needs to be done. The area is beautiful and in the midst of a lot of great things to see and do. Be advised no cell service only wifi in the unit. Hot tub was a pleasant addition

Beautiful private property. We felt like we were in the woods, not just the back of someones property. The fireplace inside was lovely as was the propane firepit and hot tub. We did all our cooking inside - huge fridge and lots of kitchen space. The bed was super comfy. We even watched the hockey game... we werent expecting to be able to do that. We explored China Beach and french beach, and the local beaches too as well as Sooke. Thanks Ian and Jodi for being great hosts ❤️

Our hosts Ian and Jodi were awesome. The family coach was very clean, organized and well stocked. Check in and check out very smooth, loved the walk through with Ian who demonstrated the use of all appliances, especially the hot tub. The hot tub was a great treat at the end of the day after exploring some of the local sites. It was my birthday and the hosts left a lovely bottle of wine for us to celebrate. Most definitely will return in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The coach was comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting in our own private hot tub at night among the very tall trees.

Best RV stay Ive had in a long time. I although the RV is an older model everything worked great and it was very spacious feeling. We had 3 adults with us and there was plenty of space for us. It could have fit 4 adults but I think it would have been cramped. Two adults and two kids would be fine though.The property the RV sits on is more of a rural area in the woods but it was very easy to find and access. Beach is close, shopping fairly close, lots to see and do in the area of you don't want to spend time driving around alot.I would suggest checking out the Sooke Potholes, it's a cute swimming area that's fresh water and not too deep so it's good for kids.We really can't complain about anything with this property. The hot tub worked great, the shower and bathroom were a good size and worked great, the beds were very comfy, kitchen had everything you could need, the bbq worked and the hosts Jodi and and Ian were lovely welcoming people. All in all we give this place a 10 star!

Ian and Jody were very helpful and accommodating. Ian provided a very thorough check in process and we did not need to ask any further questions. The coach was very roomy, clean, and a perfect fit. The outdoor area was excellent for relaxing and allowed us to enjoy the outdoors without having to go anywhere. The private trail had a nice view of the ocean, overall a great experience. The RV was as described. Comfy, with everything needed for our stay. The proximity to the owners house was a bit of a surprise but not a problem. We saw the owners when we checked in but then not again. The hot tub and seating area were very private.

Everything was perfect,very private in the trees,will stay again next year when back in area,Hosts very helpful,hot tub was a bonus.Faye John and Molly.

If you like the forest (we did!), and private hot tub, proximity to beaches, lighthouse, hikes, good food in the area, starry starry skies, super helpful hosts who keep their distance, and West Coast ambience, then this is the place for you.The RV has all the conveniences given that it is dated. New appliances, comfortable bed, lots of light from windows.

Ian was a responsive host. The RV is a bit older but well maintained. Great place to stay if you like outdoor activities , while still being close to amenities (groceries, gas, pharmacy, etc) Looking forward to coming back!

This unit was exactly as described It has everything you need or want. The bed is comfy. There's even a washer and dryer. It is located next to the owbers who are available if you need them, but we were provided utmost privacy. Have the hot tub was a great addition. Great location fro exploring the area.

Beautiful location. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere, near beaches, walking trails and excellent restaurants. Hot tub wonderful after a day exploring the Sooke area and beyond!

A really nice setup, lots of privacy and easy access to the hot tub from the camper. The camper had everything we need. Hosts were available without being invasive. Will visit again!

Enjoyed this property immensely. The outdoor amenities including the hot tub, BBQ and fire pit were terrific additions. Having laundry facilities was a great bonus. The sleep number bed and ambiance of the electric fireplace made time spent inside very comfortable.

Clean and tidy. Great location.

The stay was great for our family of 4. We were able to soak in a hot tub after a good amount of hiking. We enjoyed the gas firepit while enjoying our morning coffee. We even had a visit from a couple of bald eagles. Enjoyed it all.
