Secluded Nature Retreat w/ Huge Deck, Hot Tub & Fast Wi‑Fi

This property was very clean and well appointed. The hot tub was a big plus. AC/heating worked well though not much in need at this time of year. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes, cookware and silverware. A top of the line clothes washer and dryer are available. Will highly likely return to this property for a return trip to the Red River Gorge. Very much enjoyed.

This home had everything we needed for a weekend trip. The place was quiet and peaceful. We felt safe and it was in a convenient location. We hope to come back in the spring for a long weekend.

WELL STOCKED WIHT NECESSARY ITEMS

Well kept mobile home with a friendly deck. Host eager to please. Beds comfy with a variety of pillow sizes. Excellent location for Gorge hiking activities. I'd stay here again. Kids had a good time as well. Furnace blower can be loud in one bedroom; we turned it off at night.

Great place!

Enjoyed the amenities provided by the property owner. Didn’t have to worry about packing all the essentials (bedding, towels, cooking pans, plates, cups, dishwashing soap, hand soap, etc). It was very close to great trails and not too far from grocery store. Easy check in and Geof was very responsive. Would recommend!!

We loved our short stay at Sheltowee Cabin, the place was clean, comfortable and private, with great proximity to just about anything you’d want to do in RRG. The host is exceptional—responsive and helpful, generous with advise, and thoughtfully provides all kinds of area reference resources for guests so they can get as much out of their time as they’d like without having to do a lot of research an trial-and-error exploring. We will definitely be back!

Surprised that it wasn’t a cabin; but a trailer. However, it was clean and cozy.

If you’re looking for a nice quiet get away this place is great! All the amenities of home are here and the cabin was very clean! We had a great time!

This was a great location to stay in. The host has a really helpful binder with all the hikes and food places etc. Made it easy to choose hikes. Very clean and quiet

The place was great! Peaceful, beautiful and clean! It was only about a 10 minute drive from all the activities we were interested in.

A little out of the way, but in red river gorge everything seems far. It was a nice converted trailer that has been taken care of and even stocked with lots of things like food and toiletries if needed.

Very nice. Had a relaxing weekend, peaceful! Which was what i was looking for. Quiet except for the occasional passing car. Owner is friendly and accommodating. Close enough to the gorge and town just a short drive. I would recommend this property and i will stay there again.

Check-in was very easy. The owner also went above and beyond by providing trail recommendations ahead of time. The location was perfect - close to Natural Bridge and Daniel Boone National Forest. This was a cozy place to relax after a day of hiking.

We really enjoyed our stay. The evenings were relaxing hanging out on the porch listening to the rain and nature. Very clean and had everything we needed. Nice and close to a lot of trails and natural attractions.

My daughter and I went to RRG for some hiking. We really enjoyed all the trails, the weather was wonderful and the location of the cabin was perfect!

It was a perfect long weekend.The home was just what we needed to have a long girl's weekend and we really enjoyed everything about the accommodations.We will definitely be staying again.

We didn't travel far to hike or eat at our favorite restaurants. The large porch is a great gathering place for groups that want to meet up. The host thoughtfully provides coffee and sometimes food for those who arrive late.

Great covered front porch, enough space for a family of 3. We used the front porch for all of our home dining, places for hanging our hammocks, peaceful with very little traffic, great air conditioning, simple and affordable.

The owner's hospitality is exceptional! There has been a lot of thought and care put into this property and to make guests feel at home. The location, view, and amenities are all wonderful here. This is my third stay at this property (3rd year in a row), and I plan to return again and again.

The cabin was very quaint and close to local attractions. Geof provided a lot of good information about the local trails and restaurants which was really helpful. The cabin was very well stocked.

The cabin was the perfect home away from home. It is bigger in person. My family of 4 had plenty of space not to be on top of each other. Just as other posts said, Geof provided anything you needed if forgotten. It was clean and cozy, the beds were comfortable, he even had a few canned goods in case you needed a bite to eat.I was really impressed by the base touch lamps and a little reading lamp attached to the bed. It was such a wonderful stay!

Great little get away on a quiet road. Super clean, plenty of kitchen supplies, towels, and whatnot. Geoff went beyond with maps and books to help you get acquainted with what to do in the area. Great stay!

Great place, beautiful setting. Very thoughtful in accomodating travelers. Loved the great porch. Makes you want to sit. We love to stargaze but porch and side security lights prohibited. Aelse torally fine

The house was clean and comfortable. Geof has thought of every convenience, condiment, and detail that made our stay wonderful! I would love to come back and stay longer. The weather was cold and we wished we could have spent more time enjoying the porch. wonderful!

This cabin surpassed our expectations. Geof was great to work with answering specific questions I had before we came. The cabin was set up wonderfully with resources, supplies, and anything we might need.

Loved the porch and the location. Wasnt expecting a trailer, but it did have everything we need. It is clean and well maintained. There is no gym only a yoga ball and mats but the hiking was close. Internet worked well.

Great property and local area.

Super nice place with easy access to so many great things in Red River Gorge. Very thoughtful host-was never without. Quite spacious for being a small place (giant deck helps!). Photos of local sights throughout the place were lovely and inspiring for some hikes! Only wish the shower water pressure was stronger! One suggestion for future development-build an awning to park motorcycles under!

It was nice property, a little difficult to get to coming from the West until we learned to get off in Stanton. For anyone looking for outdoor activities the Slade area is fabulous and only minutes away. The neighbors dog Riley will possibly come to visit. He is skiddish but friendly!!!

We absolutely loved the Sheltowee! Definitely recommend staying here to anyone. Very clean and homie.
