Your health and safety comes first to us! We are using products approved by the CDC to eradicate any lingering germs, bacteria, and viruses. We are taking extra precautions by ensuring all commonly touched surfaces are wiped down completely. The linens, towels, bed sheets, etc. are washed per manufacturers guidelines. We are also stocking our home with essential disinfectants and supplies to help you follow the CDC’s guidelines. We look forward to welcoming you to our property and hosting your stay.

The Madrona Leaf Lodge is a cozy home for enjoying the truly tranquil surroundings this place has to offer. Located on the coast between Port Angeles and Sequim, you have easy and convenient access to the Olympic Mountains, National Park, and local attractions. If you choose to stay close to home, you have a private trail with beach access, about a 5 min hike along the creek to a lagoon, where the creek meets the Strait of Juan de Fuca. If you stay indoors, you have many amenities including WiFi, cable TV, washer/dryer, kitchen dishes and utensils. It is equipped with everything you will need to stay for a weekend or even for a month at a time. It has clean, late model appliances including a glass top range and a dishwasher and all of the cooking utensils, cookware, dishes and glassware that you will need to fully enjoy your meals. You will want to barbecue outdoors on the gas grill and share your meals on the porch watching the sunsets and the wildlife that is all around. The cozy, comfortable couch is perfect for relaxing indoors and enjoying the T.V. and stereo or just reading a good book. The quality front loading laundry set is there for your convenience and the bathroom offers a bathtub and shower combination. The queen size bed and the double beds will accommodate four people comfortably.

You will share our private beach trail with our other guests at Hunters' Gate Homes. It is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles.

The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market.

There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining.

The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive. You can plan longer day trips to the Pacific Ocean and the Hoh Rainforest and return after your adventure to our quiet, restful, tranquil treasure, the Madrona Leaf Lodge.

It was a nice stay for us family of four with small kids. Their kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and more. The only thing was we didn't expect that there was no air conditioning, thankfully most of the days we stayed there, the weather was upper 60s and it was nice outside. It was nice seeing the deer right outside madrona leaf lodge. We enjoyed our stay there.

The home was not modern but was cozy and comfortable and the location was great! The lookout over the promontory was magnificent so please devote the 5 minutes or whatever it takes to walk there! We loved our stay!!

The kitchen was very well-stocked with all of the cookware that we needed to make dinners at the unit. It was very clean. We liked the rural location that was also convenient to town and the national park. Most of our time was spent exploring Olympic National Park and this VRBO was a great home baser to do that.

Excellent location for a vacation visiting the Olympic Peninsula and Vancouver Island We really enjoyed all of the deer around the property and the easy trail to the beach.House had everything we needed. It had a well stocked kitchen, enough for a home cooked meal, including a grill.Would recommend to anyone.

We loved our stay at Madrona Leaf Lodge. The house was a perfect base for us to come back to after exploring the Olympic National Park. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for our family of four. Being able to watch the eagles and eaglets spread their wings from the porch was a real treat! We also enjoyed the surrounding property and made sure to take the short trek to the beach every day. Thanks for a wonderful place for our family vacation to the PNW!

Great location for birding & nature exploration. Beautiful views - when we were there the nearby eagle nest had two branchers - babies preparing to fledge. What a treat to get to watch them stretch their wings and practice hop-flying in place - all right from our porch!

Loved my time here with family! Property was exactly as shown in pictures. Saw so many deer everyday, they would wander around the property. The beach trail was beautiful! Make sure to look up every now and then, we were able to see a bald eagle (on the 4th of July even)! Such a nice homey experience!

We had a fantastic stay, and this proved to be a great base for exploring Olympic National Park and the surrounding areas. The home was comfortable, clean, and quiet, and the on-site walking trails (especially the beach!) were a nice bonus!

The surrounding area is beautiful with deer visiting daily. Sunset lookout spots are just short walks from the house and have breathtakingly beautiful views. Down the private beach trail we even got to see some seals once down to the water. The house was exactly as shown in pictures and was very clean and cozy. We also enjoyed having coffee on the porch or under the huge medrona tree. We had a very relaxing trip and enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for a wonderful stay in a peaceful setting. After being on an Alaskan cruise prior to coming to the Olympic Peninsula your place was a wonderful retreat. It had all the amenities we needed. Thank you.

This was an ideal place for us. It was quiet, comfortable, had spectacular views, and was surrounded by wildlife: deer, bald eagles, and river otters. It was a perfect base for exploring Olympic National Park, and was only 15 minutes from downtown Port Angeles.
