It was relatively clean and quiet. Simple, but pleasant decor. It was very inconvenient not to have a bathroom in the room. The entrance stairs were long and steep. I was having trouble with my back at the time, and it was painful and difficult. The location did not seem safe to me. It was nerve racking to have to leave my room to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The lick on the door was inadequate, as was the street entrance security. I called the caretaker of the property to express my concerns, and try to get out of the second night. He took offense, and berated me for being prejudice. I never said anything to give him that impression! I Just that I didn’t feel safe in the area. We ended up “eating” the second night, and stayed elsewhere.

I was excited to stay here. However upon arrival I noticed I had only gotten one text the day before arriving I noticed that that was the only communication I would have. I never saw another person who worked there. Wasn’t told where to get the contact for any sort of help from this place in case of any emergency. I felt like I was going to be in a horror movie. Due to the fact that the only means of entry or escape was the entryway which is only opened with my key. There was also no security cameras anywhere that I could see. There was no mention of the shared bathroom. WiFi was only available for the tv in the room, there was no paper stating what WiFi was named nor its password. All the other rooms had much higher tech door handles while the room I stayed in only has a key and an old style slide lock on top of my keys lock. The room itself was nice and clean. But there was no means of extra blankets anywhere, only what was in the room. I also had trouble with the entrance door, it was late at night cold and as a single woman alone in the dark trying to open a door with a key that was not doing its job it was terrifying. Thus I will not be staying there again as a single person.

Stayed here for my wife’s 30th birthday. Very nice spot. Will stay again. Was not expecting the communal bathroom, but that was perfectly fine with us.

I enjoyed the stay. The host was quick to accommodate fixes during my stay. I don't recall if when I booked it said shared (single use) bathroom but that would be a consideration if your traveling in a large group. Other than that, great stay, quiet and had everything I needed as a bachelor.

Upon arrival and first inspection, this tiny (perhaps 13'x15'), odorous (a little mildewy), shabbily furnished room (only a small old rickety table with a single chair and a small round 60s vintage nightstand to compliment a newer bed with a decent mattress) might be expected and reasonable given the price point; however, the absence of a forthright description of the shared (by 4 other apartments) bathroom in the hallway elicits some disappointment and dismay. Why not mention the bathroom situation? Anyway, the regular VRBO fees essentially doubles the quoted price making it less than a deal. Bare bones, to say the least. If, like us, you only need a tidy place to briefly lay your head and you're not concerned with the usual appointments, (like a chair or sofa, coffee maker, more than one electrical outlet, towel rack by the sink, screened window that opens, carpet less than 20 years old (at a minimum) -- if you're usually a happy camper but the forecast is for 90+ degrees -- these 4 walls with a window unit that blasts directly at the bed to allow for a comfortable night's rest with a public restroom nearby will satisfy. No frills and well-worn, to be sure, but safe and clean.

Harder than heck to find your number on the building. Google the phone number for the bar the young lady work in the bar told me what to do I would’ve never guessed I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Didn’t know there was a shared bathroom yuck. I certainly won’t be back there again and I won’t recommend it.
