Huddleston, Virginia
It's a cozy and neat studio suite at The Point, Mariner Landing resort. It has a kitchen with refrigerator, dish washer, stove, blender, coffee maker, toaster and other cooking appliance. WiFi and cable TV services. It has a big full bathroom, a brand new Queen memory foam bed, a sofa bed and a folding single bed, a small dinning area. Outside is beautiful Smith Mountain Lake. The site has an on-site restaurant, provides various delicious food. The place also provides boat launch.
All the amenities (18 hole golf course, indoor pool, outdoor pools, beaches, game room, etc..) are open and the new restaurant on site is open too. Boat slip, parking boat and boat electricity charging are available. Golf and dock slip will be charged by resort. Hope you enjoy them.
hosts were very responsive
Let's see, first, Host gave us the wrong room number. Housekeeping told us we had the wrong room that's why the code didn't work. Host never sent liability waiver for the amenities, which we paid for. The girl was nice and let us in the pool area once. The room is a claustrophobic cell with filthy stained carpeting covered by some random area rugs. Also, the furnishings/decor were some garage sale crap Closet so full of stuff there's no place to put your clothes. I used some kitchen pantry cabinet and my husband just never unpacked. Bathroom floor was dirty/sticky. We stayed at the Pointe last summer(different unit) and it was so great that we returned this year. With all the added fees, this place was double the price of what was posted. Pick another unit!
Enjoyed our stay at this condo. The property was clean and comfortable, and easily accessible to all resort amenities. Good communication with the property manager, especially when we wanted to add an extra night ahead of our vacation. The pool was awesome and we liked the convenience the resort offered in terms of having boat and jetski rentals available on the property. Wish the restaurant had been open, since it's closed M-W.
The property and the rental were excellent. We have stayed in this community before. The amenities are very nice. It was quiet and the Unit was clean and well kept. We were disappointed to learn that the restaurant requires Vaccine Passports. We did not take ours with us because it is in Virginia. We were forced to drive 45 minutes to another restaurant and wait because our reservation was at the Point restaurant. All ads for Mariners Landing should be updated so folks know ahead of time that the restaurant is imposing this restriction. We would definitely stay there again!
May be my fault, but I did not realize this booking was for a small room with no balcony. I believed it was for a room facing the lake. Again, could have been my fault, but was not impressed with the room.
Owner was day to work with. Communicated back promptly. Unit was clean and orderly. Surprisingly, even over the 4th of July, when the condo complex was full, the unit was very quiet at night.
Stayed for one night in between other stays.
It was a hotel room not a condo, air was set on one temp, view of parking lot, hot in hallways, dogs barking in other rooms next to ours, no ice on premises, even after going to store and purchasing ice, no where to store it. Tiny refrigerator. Put a bottle of water in the freezer part and overnight it still wasn’t frozen. Pool out front was nice, but no ice in confession stand and it was 90+ degrees. Won’t stay again.
Very nice. Thanks for having us.
Cute and homey!
