While the overall stay was great, there were a few things I feel could have been communicated better. First, this property is part of the Hilton Grand Vacation Club, I didn't really see that in the listing details, but maybe I missed it. It of course involves a timeshare pitch. Second, while the resort is oceanfront, it's a bit of a stretch to call it located on the beach as it does in the description. The oceanfront that this borders is all rocky and there is no beach. Shipwreck is closest, and while somewhat walkable, walking 15 minutes with all your beach gear isn't all that fun. And Shipwreck isn't the most usable beach. Third, it seems that the actual unit you get can vary. Ours was on the ground floor so had a garden view and we couldn't see the ocean. Had also requested a unit with twin beds but got a queen. Lastly, hey we were in Kauai, and it was beautiful. Pool and hot tub were great. The only restaurant onsite was the bar and grill at the pool. No table service but the food and drinks were good!

We had a lovely visit at The Point at Poipu. The property is huge. Trails lead one direction to shipwreck beach and trails beyond and the other direction to poipu beach (this is a combination of trail and roads). The room was perfect for our family of 6. The rooms felt private, the partial ocean view was great. The AC worked great, however there is no AC in the living room and we had two people sleeping on the pull out couch. The Crabtree and Evelyn shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion was great. Full size bottles were a bonus with 5 females!!! We have a few recommendations/complaints about our stay here. Better signage to pool/hot tub and adult hot tub. Would have loved to have had a water filling station in our building (8). Only saw them at front and by the adult hot tub. A keuring rather than a coffee pot in room would be nice. we ended up buying a cheap french press. A broom would have been great to clean up the sand on a daily basis. The elevator in our building did not consistently work. It really was only an issue for us on the day we arrived. We ended up having to carry 5 large suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. Otherwise we are all in good physical condition and took the stairs when it wasn't working properly. The last complaint would be that the hot tub by the pool became lukewarm 4 days into our trip. Overall our stay here was great. The grounds were super clean. The staff were all very nice. The midweek room refresh was nice! Would recommend to friends.

Our stay at Point at Poipu was fantastic! Perfect location (can see the ocean from our walkout). People were very kind and helpful. Unit was clean and midweek housekeeping did a fabulous job of refreshing everything. Located between two beautiful family beaches in Poipu! Definitely would come back to this paradise!

Overall very happy. When we checked in we were told room was a garden view so initially disappointed until we got into the room. Very spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath unit (albeit somewhat dated) with a fantastic and large outdoor balcony with garden view AND views of mountain, Shipwreck beach and ocean. The balcony was large enough for a table with four chairs and a lounge chair. We spent every morning and evening there. Prior to our stay here we had spent three nights with an ocean front view at the Grand Hyatt. Our unit may not have been as luxurious as the much smaller hotel room next door but the views easily matched the Grand Hyatt at less than half the cost. Pool at the Point not as snazzy as the next door lagoon and lazy river but never the less still very nice. Would most definitely return here. Much better value than next door. Overall loved the place!

Property location was great. Outstanding two mile trail nearby that hugged the cliffs. Room at Point at Poipu could use a fresh coat of paint for the kitchen cabinets. Go to Poipu Beach to see green sea turtles on the beach, saw five during the day and 20+ at night. Saw our first moon bow there as well. Best dinner during the week was lobster dynamite served next door at Seaview Terrace at Grand Hyatt, no reservations required. Good place for coffee and quick breakfast too. Helicopter ride was most fun experience. Kayak and hike to Secret Falls fun but paddling against the current was a challenge.

It's a lovely property with a great view of the ocean and a super big swimming pool, which I enjoyed daily. The whole family had a great time.

Our big complaint was the parking situation. The parking areas were very spread out. If you have a problem walking very far it made for a very uncomfortable and long walk to your room. The walk also from the room that is not assigned to you until you arrive, depending on its location can also be a long walk to the pool area or hot tub area.
