The property and Wilderness amenities were great as usual but our unit smelled old and unclean. Very convenient to our event.

Ae have never stayed at the wilderness of the smokies. We wanted to take our 4yr old daughter and 2yr old son to the indoor waterpark. I'm a computer technician by trade, however I found booking a room for this property very confusing. I tried booking through several different websites, however none of them were at a price point I was happy with, nor were thry offering the dates we needed. Finally I found vrbo. At first I wasn't sure if I should trust booking with vrbo, seemed too good to be true. They offered the best prices and the dates we wanted to book. The communication through vrbo was great also. Once we arrived at the hotel, we were shocked. It was more a hotel room than it was a room. We had a full kitchen, with everything you could want and need. We had a third floor balcony. We had a jacuzzi tub, full shower, washer and dryer. Our family made real lasting memories on this trip. Our home is small, we don't have a table in our home to eat dinner as a family. We did that for the first time at this hotel stay. We saved for a long time to afford this trip and it far exceeded our expectations. We want to make this trip an annual adventure while the kids are young. We would actually love to book thr same room each year if possible, if anyone knows the best way to do that, please let me know. We were all very sad to leave and we can't wait to return someday, hopefully sooner than later. Thank you vrbo and Wyndham for this experience.

This stay was definitely a disappointment. When we checked in they said we would have to come back down in the morning to meet with the concierge to get our parking pass and bracelet keys. I didn’t think much about this. But when I met back with the concierge it was nothing but a very pushy sales pitch. They actually could have given me the stuff the night before but wanted to give the concierge the chance to sell me with her forceful and rude sales tactics. When I rent from Vrbo I do not expect to get a time share and be harassed to sit through a meeting. She additionally called the room and my cell phone endless times to try and get me to sit through one of the Wyndham resort things. This was just the start of a downward spiral. When we arrived to the room, a pair of disgusting and extremely dirty female thong underwear where hanging from the door knob in the hallway. I can’t even explain the disgust I had at that moment especially while I tried to explain to my four year old. But I figured that was out of there control and just notified them of the situation and asked to come get them. The next morning we got up and made a pot of coffee. When we moved the coffee pot we had a ton of roaches scatter all over the counter. We still had to go back down to the concierge to get our bracelets and parking pass, so I notified them when I got down there. The manager was very kind and told us she would get us moved to another unit. She did do this in a timely manner and apologized for the situation. But then the dreaded visit with the pushy concierge still had to happen to get our bracelets and parking pass. After everything else that had just occurred, that was the last thing I had wanted to sit through. A few hours later we got back to the resort from playing in the snow in Carlo burg and the manager had our room ready so I stopped off at the front desk and got our new keys. The concierge tried at it again and each time I saw her the pushiness and shortness got worse. Needless to say, these where just the big things that occurred and stuck out on our trip. The units are a decent set up to accommodate 4 guest, but don’t plan on being comfortable as the furniture is very uncomfortable. It was the exact same in both units we experienced. Also, if you plan on getting any sleep, don’t count on it if you are a light sleeper. At all hours of the night, there will be loads of minors rampaging the hallways yelling and running all night long.
