Stayed Feb 29, 2020The listing did not indicate the owner lived in the home. I would have never rented it knowing this. We were renting a suite. Front doors was not locked and no way to lock our room when we left. We typically cook meals to save money and be more healthy than eating out. Was not comfortable cooking with her at home. Home listed it had laundry, kitchen, pool.. Wendy was a really nice lady, but overall I feel the experience was misrepresented by the advertisement. We never saw the laundry room. The pool was not kept up and not heated. Kitchen was untidy with frequent food mess from her cooking the night before. Food and empty containers were on the counter. Yard and home were gorgeous but not maintained. Weeds all over, no smoke detector in our room. The last straw was someone screaming in the night waking us about 1 am. It was coming from an adjacent bedroom. It was terrifying and I nearly called the police because the woman would not stop talking in frantic tones. The next morning I find out it was the owner and she believes she was having a nightmare. We have never felt more uncomfortable before. I frequently use VRBO when I travel. This experience was the worst. It’s now a perplexing thing looking back she had no VRBO reviews. This doesn’t make sense if she has been a host for years.

Stayed Mar 3, 2020We stayed 2 nights at Wendy’s charming property. Our room was large & very comfortable. We slept like babies. Wendy was very accommodating & welcoming. We would be very happy to stay again.
