Relax in a newly constructed, completely furnished, huge one bedroom, bath, great room, and full-sized kitchen. Exceptional views from every room!
The bathroom is custom made with tile/granite and has a large soaking tub adjacent to a shower with seat and 7’ high shower head.
The kitchen has stainless appliances with plenty of granite counter space.
The spacious deck runs along the entire guest house, with access from sliding glass doors in the living room and bedroom. Enjoycomfy lounge chairs and wicker-style sitting area with complete privacy and expansive views of the mountains. At one end of the deck is a large laundry room for the guest house only, and even this room has a view!
We enjoy year-round temperate weather, with cool ocean breezes almost every afternoon. One can even see the sun glistening off the Pacific Ocean in the distance. The four acre property is gated and extremely private. This guest house looks out over miles of natural terrain and a grove of macadamia nut trees on the property.
Our location is about a mile from the intersection of Fallbrook, Bonsall, Oceanside, and Camp Pendleton. It is about a 10-15 minute drive through our lovely hills to Fallbrook, Bonsall, or Oceanside shopping areas. Fallbrook boasts art galleries, a weekly Farmers Market and of course, the annual Avocado Festival in April. The beaches at Oceanside are a short 25 minute drive through our hills, and down to the coast. Equally distant from Interstate 5 or Interstate 15, going to the north, Temecula Wine Country is a 30 minute drive. There are over 40 wineries in this area to choose from with restaurants and evening entertainment to enjoy with award winning wines.
We are about an hour from downtown San Diego, the airport, the Zoo, and Balboa Park museums and exhibits. Legoland is about 30 minutes away.
People who visit us feel as though they are a retreat by enjoying the serenity and quiet of the area. It’s the perfect place to get away from the busyness and enjoy solemnity and peacefulness.

My sister and I stayed at Jo Ann and Rich's property for a weekend and we had a wonderful time. We were looking for something low key where we could just hang out and interact with each other instead of being on the go looking at things. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and after a quick trip to the market for food, we were all set to cook right at home. The view from the deck was beautiful. The dogs are adorable and so friendly. Just be ready to throw a wet tennis ball here and there. For any bird lovers you get to see hawks flying around close to the house which was awesome to watch. We elected to be home before dark because we aren't used to windy roads in the dark but during the day the drive was easy and we knew how to navigate in and out by the end of day one. It seems like you are far from everything but you are close to stores and not that far from the town center but we didn't do a lot of exploring as we stayed in and played card games. We felt so relaxed there and were so sad to have to leave. The trip was great for us and the relaxation helped so much. I wish I was still there. Jo Ann and Rich were great and so accommodating when needed. I highly recommend this property if you are visiting the area or if you are just looking for a quiet weekend getaway.

The property is lovely, What we didn’t anticipate were the military exercises at night . Also be aware that there are nightly coyote feedings. The host and hostess were very welcoming as well as their dogs. Lovely views to watch the sun setting.

Perfect getaway for a week or longer. You can't beat the view. Our hosts were two of the nicest people would ever want to meet. Would love to return for another visit the next time my wife and I are in the area. Bob B.

Everyone's mentioned their dogs and cat and we agree, they were lovely and extremely friendly. The place was clean and spacious with a great view from the porch, we went there for serenity and that's exactly what we got! Our hosts had fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice waiting for us in the fridge and made us feel very welcome! If you're relying on the Internet to be fast (i.e. streaming a movie) I would suggest bringing your own hotspot or simply choose from one of the movies provided in the library.

We're actually packing up to leave for our flight back to Tulsa and have been saying we would love to return some day. Wonderful hosts thought of everything -- even a bottle of Champagne in celebration of our 40th. One of the greatest things (for us) was that they allowed us to kidnap their three Golden Retrievers and Zorro (their tuxedo cat) anytime we wanted -- and that was just about always. We're going to miss this place, and you are going to LOVE it!

Had a wonderful time. I needed peace and quiet and got it. I live in the city so only hearing birds, the breeze in the trees and coyotes in the evening off in the distance was perfect. The house is nicely appointed with all of the comforts of home. We will be back!!!
