Great place to stay clean ,quiet ,homey , comfortable bed. Would stay here again in a heart beat close to everything and Chad the owner is there if you need anything.
Had a great time in Lake Worth! Wonderful property - walk to groceries and restaurants. Long walk or bike to beach. Loved to drink my morning coffee on the private patio out back. Went to 3 Nationals games just up I-95 and they went 3-0! Go figure! I would definitely stay again in the future.
Cottage was nice. Perfect for 1-2 people. Outside area was nice to sit and read my book. Close to beautiful beaches, shops and restaurants.
Lots of pros: The property is exactly as portrayed. The unit is basically the equivalent of a mother-in-law's unit on the back of a property. Almost everything you need is provided, there is a gorgeous courtyard in which to eat, there is a hot tub and bicycles, and it really is a delight. I highly recommend this property for a couple looking to get away, for a couple looking to use it as a base for exploring the area, or for someone working in the area looking for something much better than a hotel for a similar rate. I used to travel for work a great deal, and I would have much preferred this over a hotel and dining in chain restaurants. Don't let my following cons fool you, I highly recommend this property. A couple of cons: The otherwise wonderful refrigerator/freezer is incredibly loud. It wasn't bad when sitting right next to it during the day, but at 4 in the morning, I was convinced someone was using a jackhammer in the street. Since this happened my last morning, there was no chance for the owner to address it. This one is a matter of approaches. VRBO gives you the impression that access information will be provided three days in advance. Three days before checkin, not entered. Two days before, not entered. One day before, not entered. Messaged the owner and he says, yeah, he doesn't provide that until checkin time. For people who like to plan and like to have all of the information, this doesn't work. For those who enjoy winging it, I'm guessing this is fine. Personally, I don't want to show up hoping I can get in. I've previously rented through VRBO, and I had all of this information a week in advance. So this is a style difference. I would prefer determining what the code would be, communicate that, and having the cleaning people set it on their way out. Refutation to another review: There is a review from a gentleman scared by the area and complaining there wasn't even a hotel nearby to which he could flee. This is an eclectic residential neighborhood. I used to live in the area, and I have walked through these streets at all hours of the night and never felt at all at risk. I don't know where that reviewer thought he was staying, but I'm guessing the tourist areas of West Palm or Ocean Avenue in Delray. These neighborhoods are completely safe with a great deal of interesting housing. Please don't let that review put you off at all. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
My friend and I felt like we are at home. Everything is right there that you would need. A Publix is in walkable distance (5 minutes) and Downtown close by. My friend and I will definitely be back.
Chad was prompt and thorough in communicating check-in procedures and amenities. The place was clean and accurate to the listing. The bathroom is snug and the there wasn't any visible signage from the parking that would identify the rental. It was a little confusing which parking spot was intending for the rental, especially at night. Beyond that, the place was a great find for my wife and I for our time in Palm Beach. We will definitely consider this place if we come back again!
We enjoyed our relaxed days at this property. It was super clean, private and just what we needed. Hope to return and have more time to experience the town.
LIKED THE HOUSE VERY HOMEY. NICE BED,GREAT PLACE TO STAY, NICE TROPICAL YARD FOR COFFEE, WILL STAY THERE AGAIN.
If you want to experience the great downtown of Lake Worth than this is a good choice for you. We went down there almost every night for a different restaurant. About a five minute walk. Also a great part of town just to see all the cute cottages of Lake Worth. There are over 1000 of them, with many of them painted bright colors. The beach is about a 30 minute walk but there are two bicycles there that you can bring to the beach just make sure you have a lock. Other choice is to drive and most lots are $3.00 per hour. The unit also has access to a hot tub which we used twice. The owner, Chad, was very responsive to any request we made. Parking is right outside the door and it was secure at night. If you have never been to Lake Worth, you will love it. None of the high rises that you see in other communities. The town population is very diverse and eclectic. All in all a very delightful surprise for one of our weeks in Florida.
Such a disappointment! After reading the reviews, we were so excited to meet Chad (no greeting as described) and start our vacation. As we approached the neighborhood, a sinking feeling I tried to fight back began as we passed dilapidated house after house in a neighborhood that did not make us feel safe. We tried to remain open minded as we squeezed through the long and narrow passage to the property in back. As we entered the front door, we practically bumped into the bed. Four steps to the kitchen made our hearts sink as we faced a filthy coffee pot and the very tiny stove. We checked the toaster to see if it worked and crumbs came tumbling down onto our heads. As I looked out the tiny kitchen window to the backyard, I felt a pit in my stomach. Afraid to even wonder what the bed would be like to sleep in, we decided to leave and rent at a hotel (not nearby as there weren’t any even close to this area of town). We advised Chad of our dismay to a minimal first response and then “crickets” as we politely asked for a refund. We later found out that reviews are only accepted by the owner after your stay and only posted if they are glowing. What???? How is that even a review?? We then called “HomeAway” and received no satisfaction. Will never use this service again!!!!
