(See www.HistoricHArpersFerry.com and www.NPS.gov/hafe). Harpers Ferry is a place for all seasons for many reasons and offers healthy historical activities, including bicycling, hiking, river sports, outdoor adventure parks, and museums. For guests that enjoy craft beers, Harpers Ferry Brewing is a kid friendly brewery located 3 miles from the inn and overlooks the Potomac River. Wine sommeliers can enjoy tastings at 40 local wineries in Harper’s Ferry and Loudon Co. Va. We offer customizable shuttle options and prepared picnic lunches/backpacks for guests who wish to enjoy several stops along the tour, please email Karan at karantownsend@gmail.com for more information about shuttle packages.
Located 22 miles away from Harpers Ferry, Frederick, Maryland is a popular destination to explore shops and restaurants in the downtown historic district. Civil War history buffs should plan to visit the Monocacy National Battlefield, the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, and the Roads and Rails Museum (family friendly!). Located 15 miles past Frederick, the Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zo is a 50-acre park featuring exotic animals and interactive exhibits.

Wanted a quick getaway with my daughter before she goes off to college and before picking up my son from a nearby summer camp. We had a very nice time. The staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. The inn is beautiful both inside and outside! Would definitely stay here again.

This property is well-maintained, comfortable, homey, and an attempt has been made to retain the semblance of the time period in which it was built. The innkeeper is hospitable and a joy to interact with. We stayed on the 3rd floor, Shenandoah Room with our 2 children. We were pleasantly surprised there is a common area on that floor that is a shared space, but we were the only ones using it. It featured several chairs, a loveseat and toys and games for the kids. We were offered crafting items as well, and the kids were happily entertained in the evening hours with these amenities. There is wifi, but no television. The location of this Inn is close to shopping, dining, coffee shops, and all the historic downtown buildings, the Fort, the river and trails. Would definitely stay here again.

No bathroom or shower in the room. Everyone in house had to use the same facilities. We ended up having to leave and didn't get to stay because of my mother-in-law having to go to the hospital the manager said we would get a refund but upon talking to the owner she offered no refund and was very rude. The pictures on VRBO are very deceiving making it look alot nicer than it is. There is also no parking and you have to park way down the street and pay $20 and walk to the hotel. If you are wanting a nice quaint place don't stay here there are a lot nicer hotels that are cheaper and cleaner.

Went on this trip with my mom and daughter. We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean and the location was great. We especially enjoyed our interactions with Glenda, Gayle, and Kabrina. They were all so helpful and friendly, and it was evident how much they care about their guests.
