Guest house is your amazing getaway for as long as you want it. Bedroom 1 has a Queen size Bed, TV, desk and computer chair, Relaxing reading chair, Refrigerator/Freezer, coffee maker, microwave and private 1.75 bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a Queen size Bed, Dresser, TV, Desk with Computer Chair and Dinning Table w 4 chairs. Watch Trains circle the loop on Youtube from the live loop camera. Then physically view that same train as it passes by your bnb rooms as it comes by on Main 1, Tunnel 10 track, or Main 2 bypass track.

The space
There is an average of 35-40 trains day and night so please be aware that your sleep may be interrupted if you are a light sleeper. We have crystal clear well water and are on a septic system. Please be aware our driveway is dirt and gravel. Please drive slow and follow the signage.

Guest access
You will have your own private patio area. A Table and 4 chairs are located on the patio. You are welcome to explore the property and if you would like to see inside the caboose on the property let us know and we can unlock it for you.

Other things to note
We live in a rural area and wifi can be unreliable. Keene is at 3,158 ft. We are subject to winter weather conditions. Monday’s are usually track maintenance of way days so, (MOW) train traffic may be lighter. We have animals/insects that call the mountains home. They may include: Bobcats, mountain lions, deer, raccoons, skunks, rattlesnakes, and sometimes horses etc. Your room is fully clean after each Guest stay.

Visit the Tehachapi Loop and view the same train cross over itself as it climbs in elevation. Daily train meets and passes. Great photo opportunities. This property is on 20 Acres and about 15 minutes outside of town. No city lights allow for an awesome view of stars. Bring your telescopes!

Due to a medical condition that the host has, he may not be able to Host Guests with Service Animals.

If you make an inquiry to book please pay with in 24 hours. Inquiries are not blocked and open to Guest until booked.

A perfect location and great accommodations. Comfy queen bed, hot coffee, microwave, frigid, and gas BBQ, if so inclined. The hosts provide a great orientation and offer a deep history of the property. In addition to suggestions nearby sites well worth the visit. It’s a great opportunity to learn California railroad history and see for 1st hand just how important early California commerce was, and still is. A great family experience. 5 stars
