Tarpon Springs, Florida
Spacious and private Palm Cottage (520 sf) is in historic downtown Tarpon Springs, walking distance to the world famous sponge docks, located just blocks away from breweries, restaurants, and the Pinellas Trail. And the beach is only 3 mi away! The cottage offers king and twin beds, Wi-Fi, Fire TV, kitchen w/ full stove and fridge, coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, dinette, and shared use of the back yard of our 120-year-old Victorian home.
The cottage is private, and the yard was designed to feel like a tropical paradise. Palm Cottage has a private bistro set, great for having a cup of tea or coffee and enjoying the outdoors.
Palm Cottage offers Florida beach town life at its finest. You can rent bikes nearby at Neptune's or Tarpon Tom's. You can rent kayaks or water bikes at Fred Howard. There are dolphin tours, museums, restaurants and so much more within walking distance. Or just hang out in the back yard with a beverage and unwind.
Tarpon Springs was founded in 1876 and thrived for decades on the industry of sponge diving. Now, the town has so much more to offer than sponge diving, but the rich history remains. Palm Cottage is located downtown in a residential historical neighborhood just a few blocks from Tarpon Ave (our "Main Street"). The main home is 121 years old, and the surrounding homes are historic as well.
We chose Tarpon Springs for its walkability. If you need rides to or from the airport or anywhere else, we have a driver we would be happy to refer you to. The Jolly Trolley is a great public transportation option. There's also a 46-mi bike trail one block away, with rental bikes close by as well. The beaches are a short bike or drive away.
If you need a ride to or from the airport (or anywhere else), we have a driver we can refer you to.
*Complementary mid-stay cleans with linen change are available for 2-4 week stays. Just schedule 3 days prior.*

Beautiful cottage. Clean. Well maintained.
The property was very clean and well stocked with necessary essentials.
every thing was super except the air conditioner was really noisy that it prevented ys from getting a good night's sleep. it should be changed...otherwise everything was perfect
We always look for places that provide a sense of restoration. Palm Cottage met that requirement fully. An oasis in the midst of a city. So close to the shops and restaurants that you can walk yet the court yard allows you too listen to the birds along with your morning coffee. This is a “go too” place.
This is a charmer. I loved the proximity to downtown Tarpon Springs, the sweet and safe neighborhood and the walkability of it all. Lauren, the property manager was very responsive and helpful. It was all that I wanted in a home away from home. Thank you! Lyn N
Great place, great area and close to so many things.
We enjoyed our stay at Palm Cottage. Exactly what my small family needed.
Highly recommend! Walking distance to a lot of restaurants. It was nice to park the car and not have to worry about having a few drinks. It was a bit of a hike to the sponge docks (around a mile), but really no big deal. If we would have been super ambitious we could have walked 2 miles to the beach but we opted to drive. Well worth it. I hope to come back again!
We enjoyed our stay in the cottage as well as the location in Tarpon Springs. Perfect for a family of 3. Would definitely stay again.
Palm cottage in Tarpon Springs was the perfect place for us. We came to visit family in the area, spring training baseball, and the beach. We know the area well, and the cottage was centrally located to everything we came to do. Our favorite part was the peaceful, tropical, shared outdoor patio area. We had our coffee (provided) on the patio every morning. We sat out there after returning from Honeymoon Island and after walking around the sponge docks. We saw other travelers that were staying in the other cottages. Everyone was friendly, but we still felt like it was our own private space, because Lauren and Aric provided little areas for each cottage. The cottage itself, was very clean, air conditioner worked well, the bathroom shower was great, and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was completely stocked with anything you might need. We would love to return next year to your peaceful paradise. Thank you, Nancy and Owen
Very happy with room and location, very quiet neighborhood and we really enjoyed the patio.
This property was very comfortable, had everything we needed, and was in a perfect location for walking around the historical District of Tarpon Springs. We would stay here again!
This was our second trip to Florida and our second stay with this host. I had made a miscalculation on our travel time and did not account for our flight arriving at 6am. After checking the sites availability, and a quick message to the hosts, we were able to add on an extra day. They were awesome to work with. The property was clean and comfortable. It was exactly as advertised. We would definitely stay here again.
Outstanding, hope to return.
This place was perfect for two people who wanted to eat and drink too much in Tarpon Springs. You can walk downtown. There is an Oyster Bar restaurant with quality live entertainment two blocks away as well. The unit was perfectly clean and supplied. I am also an owner so I know how to judge a good vacation rental. I would recommend it.
Thank you so much for your hospitality. We had everything we needed. Cottage is so cozy, a perfect quiet get away. The history of Tarpon Springs will keep you busy.
Quite cute cottage, clean, well appointed, had everything I could possibly need, even sun screen. Comfortable bed. Walking distance to shops and restaurants downtown and not far from sponge docks. Beaches 10 min drive, sunset and Fred Howard park. Challenging to find in dark but directions given very helpful. Would definitely stay again.
This place was very clean and close to the downtown area and the Spongedocks. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful town. Great vacation!
Booking and checking in were a breeze. Contact person was easy to contact, and very responsive to emails. The place was nice, cozily located in the historical section of tarpon springs, near restaurants, shops, and sights.
Would recommend this property to a couple or a couple with one child. It's close to everything happening in Tarpon Springs and very quiet. My only complaint would be that if you want to watch tv at night, there are no comfortable chairs.
