This is the master suite of a house that contains two other rentable units, each with their own bedroom, entrance, bathroom, cooking and eating area. This adobe wing of the Heart and Wings Retreat Center has a large master bedroom with a king-sized bed, Mexican rug, hand-painted chest, and a twin sleigh bed.

Stayed Dec 24, 2025We spent Christmas at Azaima’s retreat. We had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings are gorgeous, views of the mountains all around and bird watching out the window. The hot tub was a nice bonus. Azaima and her friendly dog greeted us when we arrived. She was very helpful.

Stayed Aug 28, 2025Our stay was not what we expected. Upon arrival, we were immediately informed of a curfew, which made the atmosphere feel restrictive rather than relaxed. The description on Vrbo did not state that the property owner was living in the same unit being rented out as a vacation rental. This was somewhat deceivable, as it was not disclosed in the listing, and it created an uncomfortable dynamic where we felt as though we were intruding on someone else’s personal space.Additionally, the door to the unit was left unlocked, and we later realized it was actually an entrance to another inner unit. This caused confusion and left us feeling unsettled. Overall, the lack of privacy and the shared living arrangement were not accurately reflected in the listing, which made our stay far less enjoyable than anticipated.Other than that, the unit itself was nice and the surrounding landscape was pretty. Unfortunately, it was not worth what we paid for.
