Gallatin, Tennessee
Beautiful rustic Tennessee Cabin feel, with fireplace, gorgeous view of the lake and beautiful wooded property and creek, quick and scenic walk to the lake only steps away, as property is lakefront; swimming, boating, bring your own kayak.
Canoe and Paddle Board provided (and oars/life jackets also)--kayaks and canoes can launch from lakeside at property. Boat Launch only half mile and two minutes away for larger boats.
The thermostat is in the main house. Guests in your unit can adjust the temperature using vent control, and I can adjust the temperature for you if needed.
There is one flight of stairs to unit.
There parking is for one vehicle.
Boat or Large vehicle needs additional approval.
The guest quarters are on the end of the house, separated by a laundry room and kitchen, closets, bathroom, from the main house. There is a natural sound barrier and you shouldn't be affected by other people on the other side of the house. If you hear a conversation, it would be faint and rare, and totally drowned out if you keep on a fan for white noise, and so faint that you feel that your privacy is protected.
You have your own private entrance to your unit. You don't have to walk through anyone's living room to get to your space. You have a deck/balcony area immediately out your door that is for your private use. The screened in porch is for the use of other guests staying in the main house.
There is a lovable dog on premises. You can pet him, as he loves people and is very friendly. Or I can keep him totally away from you. It's your choice. It won't hurt my feelings if you are not a dog person. Let me know in advance and I can provide a close to dog free experience for you.
For swimming and boating it is recommended that you bring your own swimming shoes. They can be purchased at Walmart or online for about $10 a pair.
Here's what's provided for your boating experience: one canoe, three oars,
one paddle board, one oar and
life jackets.
There may be laundry in the dryer. This is because the housekeeper works to get the unit ready as soon as possible for your potential early arrival. If you need to use the dryer, simply take the pile of clean laundry and set it to the side. There is no reason for you to fold the laundry. Please don't use towels or sheets that are left in the dryer. There will be plenty available to you for your use during your stay.
There is a working jacuzzi system in the bathtub. However, due to previous abuse of the jacuzzi, the jacuzzi jets have been turned off at the main breaker. They are not available for guests' use.
I would definitely return. Hit my priorities of clean, easy to communicate, and great location. We used the canoe and caught fish. They graciously allowed us an early check in that helped immensely. Very kind folks.
Wonderful experience recommended highly we will be back. Patrick and Ice were cool!!
The property was a little confusing with a fair bit of coming and going at one point there were up to 5 cars parked outside. The walls are fairly thin so you can hear some of what’s going on in the main house. The room was a nice size for the two of us. Unfortunately the bed was not comfortable. Shower/jacuzzi tub were nice. We had problems with the wifi being out for a couple of days. Saw wildlife nearly every day. Overall it was a good place to land and in a very nice location for a reasonable price
Quiet and quaint. Nice neighborhood.
We picked this property to enjoy the water and visit Nashville. Patrick generously let us keep our boards in the backyard by his equipment and we walked the 200 steps to the little beach. On a weekday morning we were the only ones on the water. It was also convenient to going to Nashville. Space is clean, large soaking tub and updated shower. The only sink is in bathroom but that worked! Note the laundry is shared with next unit and there are more appliances in this shared room. Thanks for a nice visit!
Lakeside is a little mileading. You must walk through back yard then thru neighbors property to get to a rocky beach and limbs on the shore. Old Hickory lake not appealing for swimming at this location. Water is murky/muddy. Room was clean and comfortable. 12 steep
Main issue was for the first two nights we slept from 2am to 5am (only 3 hours). The next door guests were using the washing machine/dryer which was connected to our bedroom - from 5 in the afternoon until 2am. Turned the dryer on at 5am before they left for work. I enjoyed our stay only on the weekend since the guests were much more quiet.
A great little spot. A quiet neighborhood whixh was great for my morning runs. Very clean and quiet. The only issue was the other unit cooked food after 11 pm and the smell entered our unit qhoch was a bit offputting. Overall i woukd atay there again though. It was very clean and a nice spot
Loved our stay with Patrick. Great little apartment! Super clean! Near the lake. Loved feeding the deer that roam the neighborhood freely day and night. There are stairs to reach apartment (warn your knees) and thermostat is not controlled by renter but there are extra blankets in closet.
We mainly slept here as we spent much of the time hiking. Great, large space. Spacious bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. Easily accessible up the stairs. Parking directions confused me (just park parallel to the edge of the pad). Plenty of room for a 3 point turn to exit the driveway as it was a little curvy. I will say you can definitely hear the main house laundry, especially if the renter is slow to remove the load. The lake is a small walk but accessible. Owner gave very clear and precise details which I very much appreciated.
The place was described perfectly. Deer love the stream that runs along side of the property. The short walk to the lake is flat compared to most house around would be a steep decline and return incline. 10min to store and 20 min to marina.
