Stayed Sep 23, 2025We had a Great time at Knightly's Ranch Guesthouse! The setting is amazing with views and quiet. It's a bit country, dusty and charming! We really enjoyed the guesthouse and surrounding areas.

Stayed Aug 16, 2025It was unique, casual, and just what I was looking for. A very relaxing and authentic, rustic experience. It's not far from town but it sure feels like it with many dining options nearby.

Stayed Jul 4, 2025This spot was in a really cool location outside of Tucson and very close to Saguaro NP. Which is exactly what we wanted. But it was very aesthetically overwhelming on the inside. There was just stuff everywhere. Extremely cluttered. And it was very dirty. I included a picture of the rug in front of the couch. Check in process was a little confusing. I didn’t get any additional communication prior to check in. I’ve usually gotten a check in email with new info from a Vrbo host about a day or two before check in. I was even checking my spam to see if I missed it and I couldn’t find it. It would benefit from some signs at the property directing you where to go for the guesthouse we stayed in. And when we walked in the tv was on loudly so we actually thought we were in the wrong place and walking in on someone’s home. I didn’t end up reaching out to the host bc we eventually figured it all out. Perhaps my expectations were a little out of line for what this place is trying to be?The ranch feel is authentic. The location is great. I just think it would benefit from a big deep cleaning and removing some of the decorations and random things inside. It would make for a calmer, more relaxing experience.

Stayed May 1, 2025We just loved the location. Close enough to town but far enough out for solitude. Their are 2 horses on the property that are mellow and chill. You can feed them treats and love on them. As we have 3 at home, this helped give us our daily horsey fix. 3 dogs run the property and are very friendly and love getting treats. The cabin itself is older and kind of crowded and cluttery. Needs a good cleaning. We only cooked there once, but there is just about anything you would need there. Hosts were friendly and the view there is awesome. Very close to the Saguaro National Park.

Stayed Nov 24, 2024This is not your average vacation rental. The rural desert location was astonishingly beautiful. The house had a classic old Tucson rustic feel. If you prefer sterile Target decor, this is not for you, but if you are up for a quirky adventurous stay, book this place!

Stayed Mar 18, 2022We loved this place mainly because it feels out in the country but is very convenient to the grocery store, restaurants, etc. You can walk to Saguaro East, the dogs and horses are great and the bed is fabulous! The photos are accurate - the house has a lot of stuff in it so if you can't handle clutter, this is not the place for you. Meg was a wonderful host and we hope to return!

Stayed Jan 10, 2022The definition of laid-back and rustic, this comfortable guesthouse is furnished with an eclectic collection of new-and-old western/southwestern furniture, artwork, books, mementos, and curios that reflect years’ worth of curation by the owner/family who also owns the horses on site and the dogs that monitor the entrance for you in exchange for snack treats (the horses favor carrot treats, but will put up with apples if that’s what you have; the dogs are willing to work for cheese sticks.) The kitchen and pantry are well-equipped and generously stocked, there is seating indoors and out for reading, lounging, enjoying the wine left for us by the host, novel-writing, and cactus-gazing, and the Mt.-Lemmon-high cloud of a king-size bed is mercifully slow to kick you out unless you have early plans for the day. Two large-screen electronic centers are available – we didn’t drive 1800 miles to Tucson to watch TV, so we can’t vouch for them. If the bathroom is on the small side, it is nonetheless entirely suitable to every purpose – and never once did two adults who like long showers come close to using up the hot water. The location was part of the draw for us: far enough away and close enough to the busy core of Tucson. The trails of the eastern part of Saguaro National Park are within 2 minutes’ drive or a few more minutes’ walk for the spry, yet two of our favorite dining experiences were within ten minutes’ drive. Yes, if you wish to visit locations on the western or the foothills sides of town, there will be a bit of travel. That’s the trade-off for the private, quiet, semi-rural location. There's a locked gate, so whoever rides shotgun will be getting in and out to attend to it when you drive somewhere. This was our second stay at this property, the first being some 7 years earlier, with second-marriage plans (it’s a long story.) With the world going crazy, it’s hard to say when we might be back in the area (we’ve VRBO-d in all parts of the country, with more parts to go.) Half of our party did a plein air oil painting of the scene looking north from the property gate, so we’ll be able to remember where we were, even without GPS. Finally, there are many, many photos of the property on this site, so do your research.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Comfortable and quiet location with lot's of privacy. Shower could have been hotter and cleaner. Cluttered but comfortable. Plenty of food items left behind by previous occupants.
